Multi Strain Perpetual Auto-Photo Party

  1. On the upside, since I know she is going to shed all of her big fans, she is getting ready to take up a lot less space. I am potting up another hempy to fill out the space. Already almost had enough room to add another plant and was on the fence, this convinces me to go ahead. Show must go on…

  2. Happy Friday! Glad as hell for this week to be over. Being busy at work and having girls that need sorting is always a bit stressful. Fed the ALP again when I got home today. Much perkier and color improving. No funk of any sort from her drainage. Fingers crossed she is over her issues.

on a cheerier note, the fat banana is almost there. She’ll be 8 weeks on Sunday and is fully cloudy. She is still swelling on the daily, so I will let her go until she tapers off or starts showing some amber. Don’t let my indicas go too far so they are max strength but don’t knock me unconscious. Pretty girl imo. Nice rails on her. 744B613D-2CE9-46A0-9425-28DB6CD78E63.jpeg

  3. Duuuuuude.... really nice bud porn right there. I didn't grow anything in 2020 so I miss this kind of shit to sit and stare at :p

Sorry about your ALP, sounds like you have been a busy beaver trying to remedy that. Growing would be boring if we didn't have these kind of things popup every now and then :) Not to mention the knowledge gained. Like the old proverb - smooth seas do not make for a good sailor.

  4. Many thanks dude. That ones a looker.

No worries about the ALP. Definitely makes us better growers. She presented with a very obvious copper deficiency that was easy to diagnose, but after doing some research about early symptoms and looking at photos of some of my past grows, pretty sure I have misdiagnosed a mild copper deficiency as light burn more than once. When I get in a hurry I water my coco too fast which can cause it to flood and then compact, especially when I'm running with no amendments. Used some bamboo skewers to loosen up the coco, added hydrogen peroxide to the mix and watered everything at a nice steady trickle. Every player in the house got this treatment and looks way better for it. Including some vegging girls that were acting finicky. No change in anything other than practices. That one ragged out plant will and has already helped several others.

As I mentioned, need to set up a drip feeder! Will let me use the coco to its fullest without compacting from flooding it. Another project for another day.

  5. Today was the day for the fat banana. 8 weeks and a day. Swelling just slowed off. Seeing a few ambers here and there on the tops. Perfect for me. Tweaked up my drying area and have it dialed in right at 60/60. Really cooperative girl. Really nice stretch/tops on her. With a few more side branches and a few tweaks, she could be a serious yielder and fast. Unless the bud sucks, those traits alone will earn her clone (which is a bush) a spot in the mom area. Suspicious that the buds will smoke well, but time will tell. Will see how these look in a week or so, hopefully longer. Cheers E74807CF-0C5F-443D-B90B-1D6CBAB1C4EB.jpeg

  7. Been busy AF. Finally have some time to work the girls a bit this morning and post an update.

The oldest girl it’s still the Kilimanjaro. She is 10 weeks since flip today. Starting to show signs of slowing down and ripening. Still mostly clear, but starting to cloud up a bit. Don’t think her lower clusters are quite going to connect to her uppers, but they are creeping ever closer. We’ll see if she’s got any spunk left in her in the next couple weeks or whether she’s just gonna wrap up. 5072058F-45D3-4AB3-8C54-4D52E26F9F09.jpeg 2FADC9DC-B0EF-439A-8259-161FF6048735.jpeg 8A48CAB3-9EDD-416D-B1C9-4750708E7789.jpeg

With the fat banana out of the rotation and upside down, the next oldest girl is the sickly amnesia lemon pie. Finally got her sorted, but she got pretty dinged up in the process. She’ll be 6 weeks in on Friday. Starting to frost up and smell great despite her savage appearance. I had a small clone of hers that I threw on my shelf in the flower room a couple weeks back and was just going to fuck around with flowering it in a half gallon pot. Pulled her back out and will put her into a full-size container and run her when there is room…and not fuck her up this time (he says with confidence!) 23ABFA5E-FC37-42E2-A151-195AB21865A4.jpeg 86D842CB-4EEA-4119-96F6-9701B73B8EE2.jpeg

The Acapulco gold is up next. She is 4 weeks in today. Her stretch sort of sucked, but I think she was suffering from the early stages of some of the same issues affecting the ALP. Her leaves are suspiciously dark and she was getting some yellowing tips and edges, but has shaken it off with some tweaks in process. I left her a decent sized canopy to support what I thought would be a significant stretch, but she’s a shorty. I am not going to totally rely on this test run, because I think she was stressed during her stretch, but I don’t mind plants that can hang out in veg and get bigger without over growing the flowering space. Helps me manage my timing. 67C60ACF-B0D5-4EF6-8990-47900866C128.jpeg D6BCDFD5-853F-4A1B-88EA-616867AF67AE.jpeg

After her, the next oldest is the rqs hulkberry. Really lovin this chick. She’s 3 weeks in today. Massive stretch (she dropped in at about 8”) and has shot some really nice tops. High hopes for her. 286E5668-6628-4C5C-A263-E16D41B7FD6D.jpeg 2BD5D536-566B-44B4-AB6C-1B76A20022CB.jpeg

The fat banana’s exit has left an empty seat at the party. I hate empty seats at the party. The Nirvana K2 dropped in yesterday. She was vegged to pretty well exactly where I wanted her when her space opened up, which rarely seems to happen. It’s only taken a few years, but finally getting the rhythm of the perpetual down. She doesn’t look like anything particularly special at the moment, but I have heard decent things about her from those I trust. Always willing to give a new gal a chance to prove herself. She is one of the easiest plants I have ever cloned and grows like crazy in veg. Always a good start. A plant has to be pretty amazing for me to keep if it’s a pain in my ass to clone. 2EBFF016-17ED-4079-94B6-6B6724BB13C6.jpeg B85B1E9B-2A78-4F5F-857F-E433777C4DAC.jpeg

there is a bit of a foot race going on in the veg room for who is going to go next. The fruity pebbles is all of a sudden having a breakout season it looks like she’s going to be up. Will get her teed up to go as soon as the Kilimanjaro wraps up. Was going to push it and jam another plant in, but the size of the hulkberry is making that less practical. No worries I’d rather let that big girl run and have all the space she wants. As long as the footprint of the box is full of flowers, the yield will generally be about the same for me regardless of how many plants I cram in. Just have to tend more of them in smaller containers.

Thanks for checking out the garden. Cheers

  8. Gets to be like a race track up in it, commentator going nuts up there.
    Lol.
Been thinking about getting some of those fabric box planters, myself.
Totally agree with the space of the canopy and watering feel.
Gonna be cutting back on amount I have to do to find that happy medium which obviously is a challenge and you have got down pretty well.
    Thanks for sharing these adventures.
Cheer on the grow mate, awesome stuff as usual.
That hulkberry lower leaf has a bit of side curl, I have a few blueberries doing similar and wondering if you know what it's due to.

  9. Wow. You flowered the sati a at 2 1/2 inches tall? That’s Anazing how much she grew in the first few weeks of flower. I can’t imagine if you’d let her get 12 inches tall before flowering

  10. With that one, I’m pretty sure it’s because I have been tucking those fans under the shorter plants next to her. Have my eye on it though as well.

  11. No shit bro. I also pruned her like 48 hours before I dropped her in to make sure she was not growing hard from the get. 100% African sativa. I figured if I let her veg to a foot tall, the 225w cob would have torched her by now or I would be reconfiguring something. The book says she should really be an outside lady. I have always told the book to kiss my entire ass. The worst that could happen is mediocre weed. That’s a “risk” I spent like the entire ‘90s taking!

  12. Lmao.
I like your sense of reality..
I was gonna say humor.. but what in this life isn't somehow fucking ironically hellarious.
So you attributing the curl to being in too much shade?
I had been presuming it had to do with root space and a sign those plants like bigger area, regardless of our magics in making stable solutions for their bitchy asses. However I suppose time will tell..

However definitely eyes peeled right.. like a friggin bananas.
Your girls there definitely looking good from here.
Look forward to your overall review of the kilamanjaro.

  13. Not so much shade, like physically tucked down and pulled under the canopy of their neighbor and/or curled against the wall. That girls fans are huge with like 6-7” stems. The only leaves showing issues are the ones that have been bent all over the place to keep them from throwing shade. Otherwise looking pretty healthy. Hopefully not an issue brewing

  14. Hooray! The Kilimanjaro looks like it might actually ripen at some point. She’s closing in on 11 weeks. Tops still swelling like mad, but starting to slow down. Far denser than I expected and smells gorgeous. I can already tell her and I are gonna to have a thing for a minute! A425FA3C-A9A7-4336-BA39-701F5ABFA7C6.jpeg

  15. Thinking I'll have to pick up some of the kilamanjaro ...
Loving the color of the stigmas.
    Beautiful stuff man.

A few notables from some of the newer girls...

The amnesia lemon pie is starting to stack on some respectable flowers, despite the beating she took early on. Glad I decided to keep her. Pleasantly surprised EF239BC1-C7E7-4B7D-B75D-3B79F916AB11.jpeg

The Acapulco gold is starting to look… Well awfully gold. Gorgeous plant. My OCD loves her E5DAE8DF-AB43-4E5F-951F-7EA5BB466A1D.jpeg

The hulkberry is still pretty early in flower, but is putting down ridiculous frost on her leaves and tiny clusters. Looking like she is going to be a winner, but way early to tell. Mid week 3. B03A529C-3A1B-48C9-ADF5-DD64327E15DB.jpeg

  17. Happy Monday gc. Time for an update.

The Kilimanjaro has hit a major swell and has started blowing up again. 11 weeks since flip tomorrow. Have started backing off her nutes as she is eating less. Was really just running her for fun and a little pure sativa smoke. She’s a straight monster tho. That alone will likely keep her around. 03DD17C7-F9C3-430F-A0A8-20BD4C687488.jpeg 42B2B21C-2E4E-4BD5-8411-BB796E4777A7.jpeg 08B3282C-64F9-4598-8275-71C514CF72CC.jpeg

The amnesia lemon pie is also coming along. Her leaves have stopped deteriorating for the last couple weeks, and the flowers seem to be coming along fine, although they could be bigger (when couldn’t they be!). Smells lemony as hell. She’ll be 7 weeks in this Friday. 30C6831F-4B7F-41C9-B84A-83875CE15BF9.jpeg 1E18CF5E-BA44-4854-8D57-1D3173978676.jpeg

Next up is the Barney’s Acapulco gold. 5 weeks in tomorrow. Will leave a few more side branches next time I run her. Her tops are shaping up nicely tho. Love the gold frost. Pretty girl imo 14FF75BD-A842-4042-A2C3-5F7AC4AFDA42.jpeg 3C9E5D20-F65A-4F92-86C9-E8B94CF00689.jpeg

Next up is the Hulkberry. 4 weeks tomorrow. Big girl compared to her starting size. Nice stretch. Loading up on frost for her age as well. Her fans are huge. Finally clipped the lower ones because they were jammed into other plants and not getting light anyway. At least they are thin, so very little shading. 1E796569-E857-44BD-AB97-E468121F8B07.jpeg 21E70793-2100-44CA-B5CC-466479F09604.jpeg

The Nirvana K2 finished week 1 today. She’s starting to get it on and take off. Vigorous girl. Supposedly a heavy hitter. Have had more than one of those be just ok. We’ll see how she performs.

There was just too much open footprint in the flowering space for me to tolerate. Dropped in a small’ish ethos citradelic sunset this morning. Fits just right in the empty space and I could use to make some room in the veg cab. Due to a stoner mishap, started 3 of her seeds at the same time and don’t mind getting one of them running. That’s everyone in the flowering space. Up-potted the fruity pebbles over the weekend. Will let her get settled while this big sativa wraps up. Don’t expect a huge stretch from her, so shouldn’t be a problem size-wise. 7E1C8BD9-31C1-4DDC-9178-47F369840579.jpeg

After her will be the wedding cake (unless she pisses me off again...she’s used up all her slack). Then a three way race between an Expert chemdog-gorilla, solfire purple marmalade or an exotic genetix krazy runtz.

Thanks for popping by and hanging in with this long ass post. Cheers

  18. The fat banana flowers are ready for a finish trim and the jar. Not a giant yield from this little lady, but the flowers look and smell top-notch and are greasy as fuck. Great big clusters from the tops of this gal. Rock solid nugs. 8050346A-08BF-445A-AAE1-81F5660D95AA.jpeg

Here’s a current family photo of the flowering space. B8E8FF4F-CA56-4719-925D-6C4B90325174.jpeg It’s hard to see, but there is a shelf in the back left that covers up some intake baffles in my wood enclosure. I am forever trying to find ways to use that space. Have done a bunch of 32 oz hempies with extra clones in the past with mixed but pretty decent results. This is my latest effort. I had a kind of stretchy ALP clone that I tied down flat and narrow in just about the dimensions of the shelf. It’s potted in about a 1 1/2 gallon “deep” bonsai pot and flattened out on bamboo stakes. She doesn’t have a huge stretch so I am hoping to just fill that shelf in with stumpy little lemony colas. That lady is yummy and I will take as much of her around as I can crank out. 1BBE8B49-751E-4973-A220-81AFE3EA9890.jpeg

Finding creative ways to get meaningful production out of that little space gives me something to do while my impatient self waits for my bigger girls to finish. If I don’t stay busy I will start popping more seeds and creating more traffic jams to deal with.

    Thanks for stopping by. Cheers

  19. Time to start bringing this Kilimanjaro in for a landing. I am going out of town for a few days late next week and will have to chop her before I do. I don’t really flush, I just like to back their nutrients down over the last few days and then give them a few days of plain water at the end. I don’t think it really “flushes” much out of the plant, but I do like them to be hydrated with water as opposed to salt-based nutes when I cut them. I also like the way it finishes them. She’s gettin all spikey and lumpy looking like I think they should when they’re getting ready. She was 11 weeks on Tuesday and will get chopped just past 12. Hope the wait is worth it! 55E7CF8F-4F8D-4D60-B310-B9A8ACCD1843.jpeg

  20. Happy Monday interwebs. Getting ready to go out of town for a few days. Last time I did this, a power outage caused me a bunch of hell and I ended up with a pretty nasty bout of root rot on a thunderfuck in mid flower. Here’s hoping for a less eventful trip this time. Here is what is going on at the party currently.

The Kilimanjaro is in week 12. She gets chopped tomorrow. Been on water for a couple days after tapering down her nutrients. She’s barely eating or drinking and has finished swelling. For being a very long running lady, she has been a pleasure. Her flowers are surprisingly solid and feel like pinecones. Her smell is mellow but strong and gorgeous. Not really distinct, just old-school weed smell with some sweet and earthy notes.
    9A68913E-D23C-4F17-96A5-40F9E634BBDC.jpeg 723713BC-EBA6-4FC1-9A3A-5D2BC087AB4E.jpeg

Next up is the amnesia lemon pie. Coming up on 8 weeks Friday. She will take 9 and a few days at least. Her leaves are good and banged up but haven’t gotten any worse since she’s been sorted out. Her clusters are a little small, not surprisingly, but she’s not a huge yielder anyway. She smells just right though. Sweet and lemony AF.
    0EA06641-0828-4323-80F6-51FAE310DE47.jpeg 184BC3FE-C4A8-4CF5-B2A3-F2F5C1D39C3A.jpeg

The Acapulco gold will be 6 weeks into flowering tomorrow. Just cruising along with her gold self. Starting to put on a bit of bulk. No particularly distinct smell yet. Just a bit of nondescript dank pot funk. 5B1BBFB3-0A88-4ED1-8274-49028D4ED35B.jpeg 6844BB61-EFE5-442F-9C7F-2DE5AEA24296.jpeg C49C883B-61E5-4774-8DE7-8188B5B41E42.jpeg

The rqs hulkberry will be 5 weeks since flipping to 12-12 tomorrow. SUPER frosty chick. Flowers are small, but it’s early. Don’t know what her yield will be like, but given her frost level, pretty sure I’m a fan! 4775BD84-6249-49F9-ABE6-89E549EC10A1.jpeg 00992A44-86A0-4F1F-B78B-21B3440A4FCA.jpeg D18FCDA0-9148-410F-9EE1-757DBA55F2DB.jpeg

up next is the K2. 2 weeks in today. Nice balanced stretch. Good branching but very manageable. Like this girl. Hope she’s a winner. 2EE5AAD3-0C50-46D5-AD47-762C6B1DE3BA.jpeg 8604AEFB-4EFC-4551-9BEA-B5D4272FA819.jpeg

Last up is the small citradelic sunset. Just 1 week in as of today. Starting to stretch out and get ready to dance. This is my first time running gear from ethos and I am looking forward to it. Everything I have heard and seen has been very positive. She has been a pleasure thus far. 2B817697-E180-439A-A3BC-BDACB852EF63.jpeg 6AD013CA-D764-411C-878D-1D7C602783C9.jpeg

current family photos...all these ladies prayin on a Monday like they spent the weekend up to no good!
