Hey there interwebs, I have been at this basement grow for about three years. First time posting a journal after lurking on all of yours’ for a while.

I typically run everything in coco with 30% perlite, although I have been tinkering around with hempy buckets and dig the results so far. Have further plans for those.

I have three small set ups. My flowering area is 2 1/2 x 4‘ x 7‘ tall. I run an HLG225 W COB and a Bestva SAMSUN 1200, actual draw about 250. D920ADC3-297C-4E23-8218-5148C7299F2F.jpeg Here it is with its current occupants from overhead. Sorry for the fucked sideways picture. I’m a bit new at this.

The furthest along is a fat Nirvana original glue called GG#3 around here. 7 weeks of veg in a 5 gallon fabric pot. She is just over 7 weeks into flower and is about ready to go on water. Here is a better pic of her. A9FFE06E-37B5-4DF7-A0CB-55033CD62BB9.jpeg

Next up is a Nirvana Blue Dream that, at my house is called BD#2. She loves life. 4 weeks of veg from seed in a 2 gallon pot. All she does is get fed once a day and love life. Her clones root explosively in days and she generally loves life. She is also right north of 7 weeks in flower, but not quite as far along as the big gorilla. CA21AA57-49BF-4D29-890A-9230E8390628.jpeg

This is BD#1. Also from Nirvana. To be blunt, she has been a pain in the ass since birth. Her nodes grew so close and she stayed so short and bushy that she has required constant removal of branches throughout flowering to keep her from matting. Oh, and by the way, she also has this real bad sensitivity to WPM. It’s super. I have killed all of her clones (half of which also blew up with WPM) and this will be her final hurrah. She’s at least pretty for the stump that she is. This vegged for eight weeks in a 5 gallon pot if you can believe it. Also at week 7. D7FF7BA7-75D9-4CDF-86D4-1FF4B147DE46.jpeg

Next up is a Royal Queen North Thunderfuck (NT#1). Just a quick four week veg and four-way manifold. Never ran this strain before and want to see what I’m getting into for size and flowering time. Have a couple clones of her rooted and growing like crazy. She generally loves life. She is almost at week three of flower. Already took off big fans once. Going to need to do it again I gather! 17D3D7CE-E1D2-4F39-A44A-1ECAF5B51EE0.jpeg

I also have a clone of GG#3. Just started week two. 2 gallon bag of coco/perlite. She’s nothing to look at yet anyway and I forgot to snap a picture before bedtime.

The last up in my busy (for me) flowering space are 2 more clones of GG#3 that are in 32 ounce hempy cups. Just put them in as rooted clones. They are almost done with week three and are starting to set flowers. Massive amount of stretch. The canopy of their mom covers up the cups. I’ll post a pic another time when they are out. They are sitting on a shelf that covers some of my ventilation. Didn’t know what to do with the space, so this was my attempt at using the wasted square inches. 9B0FCEB8-C161-47CE-A2DA-3D74CFDDDB85.jpeg

I will post the autos and vegging girls in separate posts. Please feel free to follow along. Always open to suggestions, ideas, dirty jokes or about anything else. I grow to keep top shelf smoke on hand. It is a recreational venture and I take it as such. Like many things in life, I believe the entire process of growing through consumption is done best without taking ones self too seriously. Cheers!

Here is my auto space. It is 20” deep, 30” wide and 6.5’ tall. 27A905BF-8250-4E79-83D5-F4F5593CC86B.jpeg

On the left is the stump of a half-harvested Nirvana Widow auto. Just letting the lowers finish for a few days. She is just past 11 weeks. She is really tasty and potent from the uncured test, but small. She’ll finish at about 1.5 z total.

She has been explosively overwhelmed by A FastBuds Pineapple Express Auto on the right. Her top has been supercropped to reduce her height by about 8 inches. She is still at eye level in a 2 gallon bag of coco. As much love as it seems like she would need in that small container, she gets fed once a day and loves life. She is under a 225 W actual draw blurple from Roleadro. She just started week six. I had intended to put in a three week old dark devil auto from sweet seeds in along with it. The dark devil is pretty small, but I’m thinking the pineapple express wants the space all to herself so she can fan out. This pheno is a big lanky sativa. Reeks of floral pineapple. Excited about her.

  5. Many thanks dude. I just got a bunch of beans from a number of different breeders that I am trying out. Always looking for suggestions! Have a sweet zkittles and rqs sour d vegging up that I am looking forward to. Hear good stuff about both. Cheers!

  6. Here is the veg space. It is a work in progress, like mostly everything in my world! It was made out of an armoire that was in my basement. 67886A2A-CDCE-4B1F-80C7-D76621087604.jpeg

The back right is a dark devil auto from sweet seeds in week 3. She has been a little finicky but is shaking it off now that she is starting to stretch and her root system is filling out. Just in front of her is a sweet seeds zkittles that is getting a quick 4-way manifold. To the left of the zkittles in the center front is a thunderfuck clone that is growing like fire. In the center back is a RQS sour diesel at 2.5 weeks. The pile up on the left side is three clones of the good blue dream (BD#2) and two of the big gorilla (GG#3). I took the GG#3 clones in flowering (week 3) to see how they veg back up. I like to experiment with things when I’m waiting for shit to finish and I’m getting impatient.

Sorry if I am being overly descriptive. I am also hoping to use this thread for my own reference because I am terrible about writing shit down and sometimes it’s hard for me to remember things… I smoke a lot of weed. Cheers!

  7. Deciding between nirvana gelato, barneys wedding cake or Acapulco gold to go in next. As soon as the 3 big girls start wrapping up, the veg space will thin out and I will need to refill it. Lol. I am trying to start something new every few weeks right now with an eye toward identifying a few phenos of girls that I love and that love my setup. Ideally, would like to settle in to a rotation of girls that give me the range of effects I like for different settings and stock up. With covid, I have had more time at the ranch, so make the most of it I suppose!

  8. Flowering photos are all happy this morning. Good morning ladies! (Pic upright this time!) 494949CC-E88F-46E1-991F-10B307ED3C72.jpeg

The baby gorilla in the front right has a few spots on the leaves from her transition from chill veg lights to the full on disco. She’s over it and heading north with purpose.

  9. Took mama gorilla out for a few minutes this morning, probably for the last time before she gets chopped. Wanted to check her for nanners and my space is too packed to do it in place. Put her on RO water today. Day 59 in flower. She reeks like a big gassy kush and can barely hold her self up. Will probably take her tops in a week and give the lowers a couple. Maybe a touch early, but I need the space and I’m not a huge couchlock fan. Her trichs are almost totally cloudy. I would enjoy her just like she is, but Mrs. fromunda likes a little more ripeness to take the edge off. 10. Also put this blue dream that I hate on water today at day 62 in flower. She never wanted to stretch vertically, only horizontally and impact herself with leaves. Have never had this bad a problem even with true indicas. At least her flowers are not super dense and she has really bad WPM sensitivity. Lol. Will be happy to consume her and never see her or her offspring again. She at least smells dank as fuck with a lovely citrus overtone. It’s too bad she hates everything about life. 4F9E5240-D11B-4163-8E8B-6B5269E22F43.jpeg ED2B8720-EBE0-4D42-9527-F5F50A92EFF2.jpeg 6474DF7A-386A-442E-9A2B-FA2A2C0585C4.jpeg

  12. Many thanks. It is a constant work in progress over the last few years. Started transitioning to truly high-quality LEDs (The big gorilla finished under an HLG 225 COB) this year and the difference is astonishing.

  13. This blue dream, unlike the other, is one of my favorite phenos I’ve ever grown. Exact opposite of her sister and loves everything about life. Also a day 62. Keeping her on light flowering nutes for a bit longer. She still has more to give. 674B61BB-C05D-4600-B33B-5B900E243913.jpeg 0515A9B4-0973-4BF2-AC72-C2757C59617F.jpeg 94C5F4C1-D622-42C9-B426-27F709BF89C4.jpeg

Here is a pic of the big pineapple express auto out of her home. Her roommate is about chopped up and she will be getting the entire space to herself. Did not expect her to shoot quite this hard! Her trunk was bent over to the side of the pot for space usage purposes as a ceiling. The upper 15 inches or so of her top also been supercropped. She is done stretching and is right at about 4‘3“. Starting to make flowers in earnest this week. She’s right at around seven weeks unless my math is bad… My math is bad a lot. 6E5C8759-EE6E-423C-8087-394FDBB24DF7.jpeg 4F04AD46-54E7-43E9-9D52-BC168B631AA1.jpeg A4A015D4-51A1-4940-9D78-CCBC11084F2A.jpeg C230A671-A2FE-4B09-A832-68A4998BABDD.jpeg E479A31E-86A9-472D-925B-3EE63B6156B3.jpeg

  16. It suits me well. Tidier than soil, but less sciency than straight hydro. With as many different strains as I run, need to be able to customize easily for one-offs.

  17. Had a couple minutes for a quick post. Usually shoot pics at wake up time in the morning and aspire to post as I have time through my day.

This is my North Thunderfuck that is 20 days into flower. She is fanning out beautifully and setting flowers in the last day or two.

Have taken cuts from her which have taken off. One is in a 32 ounce hempy cup and is in day 4 of flower. Will post a pic when I remember to. The other (better one) is vegging and I believe it’s destiny will be as a 4 foot-ish Christmas tree this fall. BEDB4C52-7B1A-449E-9F7D-758B966D14A4.jpeg

  18. F18D95E1-B82D-4BB2-8092-DF425703320B.jpeg These started as a fun little project to occupy some time while my big girls finish. The way it is going, it is causing me to consider making it a more regular part of my set up. I have been tinkering around with different methods of cloning. They kind of all worked and now I’ve got a bunch of cuts that I either need to run or toss and I hate to toss the ones that are actually good genetics.

The two ladies on the left are both cuts from the big gorilla from the pictures above. Rooted them in rapid rooter with RO water mist twice daily. Then into a two pint cup of coco for a week to settle in. Then transplanted into a 32 ounce cup. Bottom half is sifted super chunky perlite. Drain hole about 2 inches from the bottom. Pretty typical hempy rig. They get overflowed twice a day and eat like crazy. I have been boosting their PK for the last couple feeds and they are still showing some leaf deficiencies and cleaning their plate when I check runoff. They are coming up on three weeks into flower. They’ve gotten remarkably large for my expectations and look like they are setting some decent flowers. The little lady on the right is a North Thunderfuck cut that is 4 (I think) days into flower in the same set up. She is just starting to realize that she is at the dance. Fascinated to see how these turn out and whether they give me any pains in the ass. This is my first experience with Hempies and I have been pretty impressed for a small scale experiment. Open to all suggestions and/or warnings about impending doom that I may not see coming. Cheers.

  19. Ladies all looking happy today. Harvested the last lowers of a widow auto. Nothing special, but will stock up some jars that are getting low! Took a little time off and misjudged my stash by a couple weeks. Dropped her in pronto once I realized my mistake back in early April. Mrs fromunda hates running out of buds…especially as much time as I spend managing them. These are the lowest flowers. Small, but nice and dense and frosty. At another time, they would not get trimmed and jarred. This time they will! 4FFADEF4-C6DC-4AFF-B770-A0F621C64850.jpeg F24A643E-4B26-4FA7-91A8-102CF7A709C5.jpeg

now that she is down, the space she was sharing has been left alone to the pineapple express auto. Miss dark devil will have to find another home. The PE was staked and tied up to keep her footprint compact. Removed her bondage this morning to let her spread open properly and relax. F630DA7C-C12D-4AA6-B5EC-9A799AB91647.jpeg

  20. Whole lot of praying going on this afternoon.

Thunderfuck is straight getting after it. This is her test grow 4 weeks veg from seed to see if this pheno is worth a shit and what her story is. First try with this strain. Hope she keeps up like she has. Winner thus far! EB99C317-8EDA-4C1E-B1CD-6F3D098CEC3B.jpeg
