Hey everyone! This is the first grow journal I've done, and I figured with everything going on in the world these days, why not put some more time into expanding my grow this year and documenting it! I live on a farm so I have lots of space and resources for organic growing. However, our growing season is pretty short so I use our heated greenhouse in the spring and fall to finish up the plants. I never use exact recipes for soil mixtures and additives, but I will do my best to give an accurate idea of what I use. Last year we got a couple random male and female plants from a friend, so I hid them away in a corner far from my main grow. Ended up with a bunch of seeds in the fall, no clue what the strain is but the parents we're healthy and bushy so we'll see what happens. Since its still early in the season I will be picking up some clones as well, most likely LSD and Grape God. The last couple years I usually had around a dozen big plants by the end of the season, which is more then enough to keep us entertained. I plan on having quite a bit more this year. Anyways, enough of a back story, I'll get into what I'm doing here. I have a heated greenhouse for the seedlings and clones, I put up a 1200 watt LED light to control the light schedule at the beginning and end of the season. Once the seedlings or clones have a couple inches of new growth I transplant them into the following soil mix, which is about 60% pro-mix, 30% composted chicken manure and activated charcoal, and the rest is a bunch of different amendments like blood and bone meal, guano, worm castings, eggshells and epsom salts. I will use roughly the same soil mix until the final transplant into the big pots. The seedlings are about 4 weeks old now and looking great! In a week or so I will clone all of them so I can put them under 12/12 and figure out males and females. If anyone has any questions or tips and tricks to share please let me know!
