Would cleaning my glass bong with nail polish remover work?

I haven't been able to find Acetone anywhere near me, I'm from a pretty remote area and none of the shops have any, but I can get nail polish remover and I was reading this thread cleaning bong with nail polish remover which made me think it'd be fine to do so, I just have one question I didn't see in that discussion, would it still work cleaning a bong with percolators?

I always wonder how I'm ever gonna get those clean, especially one of them that's completely closed off in its own chamber of the bong, I could never get to it with a brush for instance. But my worry here is to get any liquid to move through the bong I need to blow into it, wouldn't that be a little bit of a no-no with a chemical inside like nail polish? Or is it fine so long as I don't breathe it IN? And will it all clear out from those chambers just as easily afterwards or will I need to give it a more through rinse? I probably would to be sure anyways haha.

Thanks, this helps. I just used salt and the nail polish remover and it worked a treat, still some staining, but I hadn't much nail polish remover to work with at the time, lifting more later.

 

Here we go... Why you trying to ridicule me now? I can't get it easily. Simple as that. This isn't a personal slight against you or your suggestion, I just can't.

Nah, I'm not too worried about that. Mine is clear mostly, just the percs that are tinted blue and if they lost the tint honestly its worth it for the clean. Ridiculous how filthy mine was before.

And to others in the thread, no, I'm not stealing it xD I'm Irish, it's just how I say I'm gonna buy some later in the shop. Which I have since done, thanks for the interest tho I guess :/ lol
