I've noticed forums for growing weed seem more chilled and most people are very helpful and quite easy going but other forums like Yahoo answers and Quora seem to be full of smartheads, cheeky people and sarcastic answers. Is it the marijuana that does this? Or is it the way this forum is structured and managed? P.S. regardless of the reasons, it's still good I'm just rather curious to see if there are people out there who noticed the same thing
The main reasons that on every weed forum there's a small army of admin that get paid in merch that will ban you for getting aggro with people. The rewards are good so they take the job seriously. You can attack a post or an idea but not the person. Gets you a warning, maybe 2 then you just get banned. Also there's generally a rating system for members whereby they get points for reporting bad behaviour. Points mean prizes. Generally pretty cool shit too. This why there's generally a member of the month prize etc. Things like that encourage us to police it ourselves. I'm technically still staff on another forum but not been on for a couple years. Only 3 journals away from full sponsorship but the work loads just too much. Hence why I'm now here just chillin n gettin high af

You will always find a certain amount of trolling assholes on any forum......the way it's controlled is by strict management by the moderators. Some are too strict with their censorship and others aren't strict enough.

It's alot better for questions on here.. I don't use any other forums but I've been on them as guests & the way some people reply to others is like it's a free for all anything goes On here people are more chill + the mods deal with people who act up so every 1 knows what to do/what not to do ect
All forums attract assholes. And they all have rules . Ive been on every cannabis forum and the results I've had was eye opening . Some of them do not allow cussing, some want you to stick to the topic of the thread and never detract from it. Grasscity is by far the most largest and lenient. Just use your common sense, and read the rules and you'll be good. The same way the mods would keep a person from berating another they also do a good job of policing those people who spread false info. Basically keep the conversation in the appropriate section, like talking smack about the president in the political section or talking about your masterbation record should be in the love/ sex/ lifestyle section. Welcome! You came to the right place! If you get to much shit from a member, contact a mod and they'll have a look at the situation and make a fair judgment. Good luck out there! I think another big reason g.c. is so chill is because along with the mods there is a group of 10 to 20 regulars that shut idiots down when they try to act out like fools here. Lol
