Besides the first one I went many years with American V8's in all my cages before getting the wife a Sorento, I stayed American all the way to my BMW for myself though. Not really on purpose, but just the cars I liked.
I remember my first car, the 2008 Chevrolet Aveo. It's not a car, it's a piece of shit. My first unsuccessful experience in buying a car. Next up was the 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer. This is better than the first one. And now I ride a Toyota Lux 2012. This is the most successful option I have ever made.

Gonna trade it up in the spring for a mustang) 20 Chrysler Pacifica mini van (the wife will take this over when I get the mustang. It's a fat pig but it moves the family around well.) Looking forward to the mustang in the spring, haha!

To be honest, for the city I like the automatic transmission, and for the off-road I prefer the mechanics. Automatic is of course convenient, but expensive to maintain
Forgot about an early '60's Borgword Hansa (german) little 2 door station wagon front wheel drive.(see how long the hood is?) Had a pancake water cooled motor with a side-draft carb.
