What is the best bottle to use for s homemade bong?

Discussion in 'DIY and Homemade' started by mattytsanchez, Jul 28, 2012.

  1. So far, I've used beer bottles but I don't know if there are better types of bottles or glass in general. So, homemade bongers, any input would be appreciated! Stay toasty!

  2. Smart Water

  3. 2nd the smart water

  4. 3rd the smart water.

  5. Absolute vodka bottle for glass

  6. Buy a cheap bong

  7. Powerade for plastic, like for a couple of sechs max
A thick glass bottle, like those big beer bottles (1Liter) or Absolute Vodka ones are the perfect shape, but never tried with one

  8. Topo chico mineral water bottles, you can turn it into a Gravity waterfall bong...in like ten mins, and it will put you in the clouds if used correctly!

just made this. cut the end off a mini tobasco bottle (get from MRE/condiment packets) then drilled a hole in the bottle (think it used to hold sake). All in all, after buying a set of diamond coated blades and drills for my dremel (with speeds around 10k rpms!) the project cost me about $12.

Instead of glue however, i use a piece of cotton with a hole cut in it. this creates a nearly airtight seal.

  10. Fanta, trust me.

How exactly did you do that to create a seal? Pics maybe? Just curious, that sounds pretty interesting.

the cotton is a thin strip of 100% cotton white-beater style shirt material. it stretches, but retains water well. The strip has a hole cut in it, large enough to squeeze the bowl and downspout's respective tips through. as such, this allows the bowl to be pushed, contracting the water soaked strip. The seal is not airtight without this pushing force. I need to epoxy the down spout into place. But i am concerned about cleaning...does this t-shirt material idea seem to be sound? or would it get dirty and harbor bacteria?

  13. i also frosted the inside/outsides with my dremel diamond grinding bits. They roughed up the surface, allowing for a better hold with the downspout in the future. i think it looks kinda cool too haha..

  14. Plastic arizona bottles..

  15. For a waterfall bong use a sobe glass bottle
for a regular bong i 4th the smartwater.

  16. Id def recommend reverse gravity using Walmart Clear American sparkling waters. Have 1L and 2L, the waters are dank and ideal sizes esp for gravs and waterfalls

Gatorade bottles for reg style bongs cuz the thick plastic makes burning exact holes real easy.

PS invest in atleast a bowl and maybe a downstem, spending a few bucks at a local headshop really makes building homemades infinitely easier and usually more efficient, plus can make some weird shit:
