Scientific.The kind with all the percs and domes and attachments and a bunch of pricey nonsense. Bong with icecatchers are about as complex as I like.
Oh ok I see what your saying, was just confused cuz even perk-less clear straight tubes can be considered scientific glass just cuz it looks similar to lab equipment

I've owned tall, short, beaker and straight tube, percs and no percs, and honestly out of all of them my all time favorite hands down no question was the ROOR little sista 5mm thick glass , 35 cm height, with a 14.5 diffuser down stem and an Ash catcher
my favorite bong height is between 18 and 24 inches for most applications. my Roor Fairmaster sits at 55cm (21.5 inches) and it's about perfect for a combustion straight tube to be honest. my HVY straight tube that is dedicated to my vaporizer sits at a meager 12 inches and seems almost perfect for my DaBuddha desktop vape.
The bong I have now is 12 in with a bent neck and dual matrix percs. It's a ripper. I don't think I'd want it much bigger for a straight shot or beaker though. Maybe like 12 or 14. Just don't see the benefit. I had a beaker that was like 10 in before and it was a bit small. 12 or 14 would seem like the sweet spot I think for me.
I have 2 minibongs with bubble bottoms...about 8 inches each. Another bong looks like one of those old fashioned pipes with an added space for water at the bottom. There's no carb, you just use it like a pipe with the added advantage of the water. That's about 8 inches as well. I want to eventually get a 12 or 14 inch...working my way up. I think if I had an 18 or more inch bong, I'd want that for social occasions. Idk if I could use something that big all by myself, it might take some lung capacity I might not have yet. I'm still relatively new to smoking. But I do love those big bongs so one of these days!!!
10 if its a "wide" bong mouthpiece. 12 if its got a "skinny" mouthpeice. My logic is so theres less air to allow the smoke to get stale while rippin it.
At this moment its a 1" bore by 18" long shotgun. What I am looking for is what pairs best with a Plenty vape I traded for.
18-24 inches is what i like, right now i have a 14inch bong and it's just a little to small to lean back with comfortably but a little to big to have it sit on the table and smoke.
