What are some good homemade bowls?

Discussion in 'DIY and Homemade' started by Eggs, Jun 3, 2007.

  1. I've been thinking about making a waterfall bong and don't really have anything to use for the bowl.

Would it be safe to use a plastic bottlecap for the waterfall bowl if I just used it once and then disposed of it? As the title says, what are some good bowls?

  2. a trumpet mouthpeice or a socket from a socket wrench

  3. That socket wrench is a good idea, never would have thought of it. +rep

  4. ive smoked salvia from a homemade piece with a socket wrench as the bowl

good shit for like 35 seconds.

  5. And upon the 36th second, you realize you're swimming in a god damn pool of your own sweat and your clothes are drenched, with your heart racing and the most disgusting after-taste in your mouth ever:D

  6. no more like damn i could of a bought a half 1/8 and not had my mouth smell like a smurfs asshole

  7. how do you guys use this for a bowl? any1 has pic, I dont understand how you do.

  8. i used a thimble-just poked a hole with a nail and hammer

  9. dude... teapot. Then use aluminum foil.. tape it around the top, push it down a little so it forms a bowl, poke small holes through it with a needle or thumb tack. You can also use anything like a popcan, pop bottle, whatever. If you are looking for something to throw on as a bowl, try buying a salt or pepper shaker, and just unscrew or cut off the shaker part.

  10. copper piping, thats how i made my bong's slider.

  11. Copper is really bad for you to smoke out of. Worse than aluminum. I would find a new bowl pronto bud.

  12. i dont recommend homade bowls i bit. just go out to ur headshop, buy a metal bowl and a bong stem, it will cost u like 5 bucks, will work twice as good as anything u could make at home, and you wont be inhaling shit like aluminum and copper. my old acrylic bong broke, and i took out the bowl and stem, and put it into a 1 liter, and that thing fucks me up way more than my old bong did lol

  13. ya i use a socket and a screen on mine, works really well. trumpet mouthpiece is also a good call, but hard to get a screen to stay in place.

NEVER use copper. just put a lighter to it you can see it burns sort of green. its really bad for you. what ever material you use as a bowl you should test to see if any burns off. just hold a lighter to in for a good min and see if its damaged.

  14. never use copper, havent you read the thread about inhaling copper particles the guy is permanently damaged and is in excruciating pain 24/7 evn with strong painkillers

  15. Make a bucket n use a soket as the bowl, just wrap tape around it, till is fits tightly into the top of the bottle , then u got a waterfall/bucket!!, Gravitybong

  16. actually a french horn mouthpiece works better because its conical

  17. lol where the heck am I gonna find an extra french horn mouthpiece.

Sockets... lol. This will make a workable bowl! Make sure its a clean one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You damn well dont want to go and smoke grease or oil or metal shavings from stripping a bolt, etc, etc. Also, if you get the kind with a small enough square (the whole at the bottom) you dont even need the screen if your packin buds.

And for fucks sake children, be careful what you use as a bowl! Copper oxidizes and resin is gooy/wet. Some metals are coated with stuff you could die from inhaling -- i'm sure your parents wouldn't be happy with that so use caution.

  18. And if you want a fat FAT bowl, go pick up a Suzaphone mouth piece.

  19. haha i'd jacked the new one my band teacher gave me for the school french horn. been sitting around my room for the last 4 years or so and decided to use it a couple weeks ago in a home-made. results = :smoking:

  20. yeah dude, horn mouthpieces are expensive. if you've got one lying around, great, but you'd be better off buying an actual bowl if you're gonna pay for it.
