I'm trying to keep this very simple. I see on the internet that some simple just stick a hole in a waterbottle then jam the mflb in and they're good to go. some do with water or without water. I'm more worried about the effects the plastic can have on the vapor , will it introduce any toxins and change the taste? I'm also thinking of simply using a empty wine bottle . put it in the fridge till cold. then put in the vapor through the bottle neck. Would this be ineffective considering there is only one way for air to come in and out resulting in a lot of vapor going out? And if it's effective , what would happen if I filled the winebottle with vapor , closed it and left it for a while. Would there still be vapor or would it turn to a liquid? I don't have glass drill bit nor a powerdrill , so I'm reluctant to drill a hole in the bottle unless I can borrow one from a buddy. Edit: thought of another idea , If I can get my hands on a drill to make a hole on a wine bottle I can glue some food grade silicone with a hole , then I should beable to just press my mflb on it vape
Okay................. 1. The plastic of the water bottle will in no way be effected by vapor. It's no where near hot enough. 2. Forget the wine bottle. 3. Refer to 2. 4. Refer to 2... Also, have you ever taken a science class? 5. No need for all that. Disposability is a nice feature. Lets say you use a bottle... without water... How would that, in any way, be better than just hitting it? Random plastic bottle, fill the bottom inch with water, have your MFLB stem stabbing the bottle about a half inch above the water line and make sure it doesn't leak. Tilt the mflb down into the water, so the water doesn't go up the stem to your bud or battery... Get high.
1) I'm not sure if the disposable plastic bottle will leave a plastic taste , so I figured glass maybe more preferable. I'm also not sure if disposable plastic bottles are bpa free and I really got no clue how suttle or if any interaction there will be with the thc vapor have on the plastic. I aint a chemist. 2) Why should I forget about the wine bottle? I see many people making bongs out of wine bottles , and it looks great. 3) Why I'm considering a bong without water is I hear it loses potency through water filtration and I don;t see much point of water filtrating vapour since it's already clean, but I'm still in the middle of researching that.
I think you would have to worry more about the effect of the vapor on the plastic, not the other way around. The Poly they use for water bottles and the like is actually porous and will absorb particles from the air around around it. This takes time though, even years. As long as there is very little to no heat in contact with the plastic, its relatively safe to use plastic as a conduit for smoke. Get a diamond drill bit to cut glass, and do it underwater if you can.
it wont lose potency and if your not going to use water then hit the vape normally all the "bong" would with out water is add to the difficulty of hit if your not going to bother with water then dont bother at all and the wine bottle you dont have a drill or the right bit so thats your problem
most straws fit into the mflb. stick the straw through a hole in a water bottle down toward the water. hit from where you would drink the water.
I'm thinking of making a similar thing for my DBV when I get home next month, could work with MFLB too. Get a tube from the stem into a jar of water (airtight of course) and another tube out that you draw on. This would be alot easier on a whip vape, but you could improvise.
It will taste worse. It probably wont release chemicals. Use water, especially with plastic or itll taste extra shitty and harsh. You really need to know what youre doing to make a homemade with glass (if youre concerned with a good seal and all, which you should be).
