He is a collector. He collects glass, because he loves glass. Why do people collect bottle caps, cars, guns, watches, beanie babies, etc?
The amount of skill and artistry required to make high quality glass never ceases to amaze me. I used to laugh at glass heads; "a bong is a bong" was my mentality. Now that I actually own some high quality glass, I have a huge appreciation for glass. It really is functional art.
I own a set of glow rods and they really arent worth what illadelph sells them for. Theyre nice but take a minute or two to heat up and theyre just a pain sometime imo.
Glow rods are energy inefficient. Get a Hakko. I'm sorry there haven't been good updates, guys. I got sick, and then ended up in the hospital yesterday. Just got home, and am starting to feel better I think. Hopefully soon I'll grab some shots of some glass. Anyone have a request for the next item to be featured should be?
lol. why does everybody complain glo-rods take to long to heat up. i get mine red n like 15 seconds. and what is the rush to smoke anyway? iv been stuck on glo-rods forawhile n i stole them from my old highschool's science lab.... they use them as stir sticks lmao oneday ill come to buying a hakko but i live in ontario so dont know when ill manage to get one
Alright, the next piece featured is a 2 inch ceramic "straight shooter". This is a one of a kind, custom made Trikky piece not available ANYWHERE else in the country. It features a bump on one side of the bowl, and a loop on the other. Fuck the haters, this thing rips SOOOO much nicer than your RooR/TORO/SG. You're all a bunch of BONG SLUTS. Here's some pictures-
That's awesome trikky. It'll be cool to compare that piece to the stuff you're makin a few years from now.
That's awesome! I was just thinking yesterday that I was going to make a spoon out of whatever that stuff is called, damn it, brain fart all I can think of is FEMA. Filo? I can't believe this is happening. WHAT IS THAT STUFF. You put it in the oven it's all colored. God damn it. It's like clay but not. Anyhow, I don't even know if it would work, but it would be a fun project. FIMO!!!!
fimo is not safe to smoke from directly. however it does work well for decorating them. ive been wanting to pick up a cheap glass mini-bong and decorate it with fimo. that clay piece should be in a museum. I bet cavemen toked on pieces like that. very cool.
is there a carb on dat jaunt? that shits a trikky original you should sell it when you become a famous glass blower
