Has anyone experienced throat and chest burning after smoking a dab pen? I had a kingpen cart in the grapefruit flavor and had burning in my throat immediately after, it spread to my chest the next day, and it lasted for 2 weeks. I went to the doctor and they diagnosed me with esophagitis but I’ve never heard of vape carts causing that. They had me take prednisone for 4 days and I did a month long treatment of omeprazole. It’s completely gone now (this happened in the beginning of September), but I’m still confused by it and can’t find anything online linking the 2. It’s not a symptom of the counterfeit carts either. I had no other symptoms other than the burning feeling and my lungs sounded and looked perfect (on X-ray)
Bro, be careful. People have been dying from these pens. The black market is filled with carts that are cut with toxic shit, make sure you know exactly where the cart comes from and if it is lab tested. If you're getting it from a vendor in a legal state then you are good. I got the same thing from hitting the weed vapes too much when I was visiting a legal state. Sore chest feeling and breathing in hurt but it went away afterabout a month even while continuing vaping. It should get better.
I would guess you already had esophagitis for some reason and the first time you noticed any symptoms was when the vapor irritated the inflamed tissue. Interestingly the smoke doesn't normally go down your esophagus.
I don't use vapes. I used a friends a couple times, coughed harder than a bong rip, always felt too dry, kind of weird burn and tasting. coughed induced gagging.

if you were prescribed omeprazole you must have stomach trouble that causing the burning in your chest and epiglottis ....but the vapor could be irritating it ....mac,
