If you want to make WeedStar* more popular then stop making videos of your douchebaggery, come up with some sweet unique stuff, get rid of your childish logo and company name and come up with something more elegant and exclusive. Do some research and testing on your percs to see the drag and to change it and make it better. These are all things that should be done before a bong is released. Your percs are draggy, and that is a fault because there are plenty of bongs with percs that flow VERY nice and smooth but not yours. And that is what I hear bitched about the most, is the draggy percs so why don't you fix that? If I was you, I would sit back down with my blowers and say "what the fuck can we do to make our percs not draggy guys?" But no, you just still release childish looking bongs, with designs that every other company has already come out with, be a business man.

Do what Luke Wilson, and R00R, and Toro... they are going out with new stuff, new designs, new innovations for smoking cannabis, and that is why they are so respected. You see new LW prototypes all the time, because he is trying to take it further then just a normal fucking straight tube.

I don't own a WeedStar*, never hit one, and prolly never will.. but that is just my common sense of how YOU could make your company better and get more respect in the glass and cannabis world.

Wow the guy asks for people to posts pictures of weedstar bongs and the only thing he gets is flaming. Weedstar isn't a Toro or Illadelph bong by any means but they still make decent bongs for a great price. Just check the Grasscity website, those bongs seem great for their prices.

Look here at this inline for $70. How can you get an inline for bellow $100? Weedstar is a bargain. If you got tons of money then by all means go for Toro and Illadelph and what not, but if not then quit all the bashing.

Yes I to would rather have a RooR or Toro anyday but come on Weed Star isn't high end. They're are a bargain glass dealer who sells as bargain prices. What do you expect guys?

It's good we have some middle ground between China Glass and Custom RooRs. Kind of like how we have a middle ground between scwhag weed and fire.

Weed-Star does not deserve all the harsh criticism it recieves. The products are cheaper alternatives for those who want a bong that can haul pretty well, but do not want to spend upwards of one hundred dollars. He offers cheaper bongs for a fraction of the price, much like value automobiles such as Kia. And much like Kia, these bongs are manufactured somewhere else using cheaper materials, resulting in a less durable product.

Is there anything wrong with that? I can understand being angry about them stealing designs, but surely most of their designs are original. No?

 

maybe you should make your percs in house instead of importing the shit eh? or reinforce them shits at the bottom so they dont break during a goddamn iso cleaning.

on an unrelated note, probably gonna buy a ghetto bitch when its available. I can dig a straight tube, and a 2 footer at a damn good price, but I honestly can't trust any sort of technology from you because poorly functioning knockoffs defy the purpose, and misrepresent that technology.

dude ehle makes great tubes at around the same price as your tubes, as a matter of fact ehle has been compared to roor, simply put your company makes terrible tubes, and are not worth the cash, if you improve your product as stated above then you can make a weedstar appreciation thread.

Why give him a break about his english? Hes the guy coming into an english speaking forum, promoting his crap - not even able to respond properly because he doesnt understand anything.

He does that in all the german speaking forums too... just that there he understands everything but responds selectively... see... he didnt even comment on the sweatshop issue ... no doubt he understood it .. but he wont comment on it. Such a behavior is just dickish. On top of calling the potential customers here idiots.

But to the point: I actually made the mistake of buying a weedstar inline perc A/C because no one here (german speaking area) sells them in proper quality. Most headshop(owner)s wont even know what a perc is - let alone sell it. Only 2 Companies (Merlin-Bong and Zenit) sell them in the High-Price Category .. One of them (Merlin) per online selling + custom only and the other one who introduced some minor (really minor) perc models recently (Zenit), with only about 20 distribution partners (headshops) in the whole german speaking area ...

So everyone who wants to try it and not spend a big fucking amount of money, tries it with WeedStar. Bad Choice as all of their products lack individuality, quality and ability to be part of a serious glass collection..

I'll rather invest in a piece from Zenit (which i will do next month).. german craftsmanship, paired with original design and superior quality control... just everything that WeedStar isnt...

 

Its a completely different investment. This lack of understanding about a comparison that cannot really be made is a constant problem here.





I own a WS double perc and have had no problems. The glass is (allegedly) 5MM, it feels thick and works great. I will admit that I have not used a high end percolated bong. But I also own three Roors and an EHLE. Each serves a purpose. If Weedstar was violating the law they would be prosecuted (I think) but when stuff isn't patented, I assume its fair game.

I'm not defending everything Weedstar does, but when people say that "you just can't copy a design"... yeah, it may be immoral in some cases, but that's really just not true at all in capitalism. Don't argue business law or ethics without having a firm grasp of both of these. Yes it may be immoral in some cases, but remember:

IF Weedstar were a competitor of the companies that it copies from (companies that charge way more and that have a completely different market base) things would be different. But they are not in direct competition. Innovation breeds copying and competition, but every informed consumer knows that they are not the same item for two different prices, they are two completely different items that look alike but which have great disparities in quality.

I am not an advocate of Weedstar. I probably wouldn't buy another one because now I know what my options are in terms of other, better brands. But we have a lot of ignorant hate here on the forums, and that's just not okay.

 

I would love it if GC carried these kinds of pipes here without a carb hole in it. I'd definitely purchase it if they did.
