I have a thing with re-purposing just about any thing I can get my hands on, especially for smoking accessories and pipes. I'd love to see what king of nifty tools others have come up with. Below, I posted some pictures of a small lantern I bought at Target for a dollar. When i couldn't find a place for it, it became the bowl rest and filling station. There is a hole in the top, as it was originally for tea-lights, and the bowl fits perfectly. It's a little banged up and a side or two is missing at this point, but it was the best dollar I've spent in a while. I apologize for the huge pics. I'll get this thing figured out soon enough...
That's a really cool idea. Don't have pics but I have a sample piece of granite leftover from when my parents were picking out what to remodel our kitchen. Anyway it's a great firm slab that can be used for rolling on my lap.
Yes, I was bored and had 10 minutes.to waste. its a pretty average screw through a piece of thin, strong, cut to fit cardboard which is glued to the base of the ashtray that has heat resistant paint then through a bottle cap glued to the cardboard so it won't move around more then a small amount of give. I feel it helps keep glass safe. /shrug but yeah, been doing me great. I think its time to empty it though...
