A family member got this sucker out in Potland I mean Portland. As I travel for work and am in hotels a lot, when Airbnb’s aren’t available. Got to test it shortly ago and man I really didn’t think it was possible to mask a full bong rip. Other then the smoke out of the bowl, which my spray covers, this thing takes my entire rips with out a single atom of smoke thru the other end. I’ can almost guess it’s carbon as I hear a slight grainy sound when I shake it about.
It is activated carbon. I never used one but I made my own DIY one and it is definitely effective. I just put coffee filters at the end (where holes I drilled are) and front part of it (mouth piece) but otherwise the rest is filled only with carbon. I think smoke buddy's may have some kinda paper like filter (similar to coffee filters) spread within the middle too which may lead to reduced smoke, however I imagine that's probably at the cost of it's length of effectiveness.
Yeah man. I can’t imagine this working for ever the way I smoke. Lol when shows are only 6 hours a day 18 hours in the hotel room...... Damnit I didn’t bring enough meds
Charcoal l is cheap. If you can figure out how to change old out, once it stops working and put new in, it’d last as long as you had charcoal, Cheech!
I think they should last a pretty long time but yeah they do stop eventually. There's a product called the sploofy that sells replaceable premade filters but you'd be way better off just making your own that you can replace as much as you need. The cost of enough carbon to last years is like the same price as a smoke buddy or sploofy.
yeah I never ever knew it existed she saw it at the pot store and got it for herself but let me try it this weekend. makes me want to build one like you said, Stuffs cheap. But all good. It’s a cool thing and working for sure right now lol.
