Anyone ever heard of this? Up in Boone, North Carolina they have some amazing looking bubblers, rigs, etc. I am pretty interested in one but I can't find ANYTHING online about them. Any help from you guys about this mystery glass company haha?
I've seen some really nice pieces of theirs around but never found anything online or any kind of information on them
Thank you for at least replying. Not trying to complain too bad, but whenever I use this site, I never really end up getting any help. How can that be though? Are they just a super small company? Their glass is relatively expensive in the store I was checking out, how can they make such sick pieces, but there is no info on them?
It could be just one guy, and he doesn't have a website or anything. Sent from my HTCONE using Grasscity Forum mobile app
There is too much of it out recently to be of one guy IMO. I've seen it in 2 or 3 stores total, but that Smoke Rings has the nicest pieces by "Simba" by far... I just want to know something about this company!!
Because I'd hate to buy some glass that isn't known as "quality", or that is similar to something else that I could get a lot cheaper. This facebook page has a lot of simba glass, so I messaged them. Check out these pieces guys, and please help me. https://www.facebook.com/WildsidesmokeshopMC
I bought a "Simba" bubbler piece from the Smoke Rings shop in Wilmington. It pulled really nice and smooth for 3 days. Then, one day after filling it, I was drying the piece off with a towel, holding it by the can, and drying the mouth piece. The Mouth piece popped apart in two sections. It never shattered, or cracked, or anything. It didn't break jagged. On the inside of the stem was this white, plastic looking/feeling coating. When I shined a flashlight through the stem, you could see it was made up of perfect ringlets, and seemed to be held together with this plastic sheeting. Either way, for a 400+ dollar bubbler, one would expect a single, solid stem, that could handle being WIPED DOWN. It wasn't dropped, and I didn't man-handle or mistreat it during the wipe down. It just wasn't made up to par. - jadedphan
I recently won a small inline simba mini bong type thing at my local smoke shop (Michigan). Only been able to use it once but I was pretty impressed with it. I was also interested in finding out more on the piece so I searched it and found this thread. I'll be following and ill share any information I find
I actually just bought the green and black 7 piece Simba rig from Smoke Rings, and I have to say it is great. Extremely smooth, stealth when it comes to sound, and packs one hell of a punch.
anyone else find it odd how they have a fritted disc perc rig and heady oil rig sets, and this is the first time most of us have heard of them
There's a shop here in Blacksburg Virginia that has a ton of simba glass they have an oil rig set up with like 4 dabbers, domes, a concentrate dry pipe and the rig. It looks cool black and slyme colored but it was like $900. They also had a few with fritted discs that were like $400+ The guy working was really eager to try to sell me on this "new artist" simba. He told me that he used to work for the company Phire. I have never heard anything good about Phire so I based my judgement on that. Sent from my VS930 4G using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Believe it or not its china. Made by the same people behind Phire. At first glance it looks like some nice glass but is not worth the high price tag. I know this because it is sold at all the same shops as phire and phire is known to slap different labels on the same glass. Brands like diamonds and royalty are the same as phire and I have even seen phire tubes with roor labels on em. Fuck that! Phire isn't terrible though I have one and it rips pretty well but the joint is definately not on the same level as high-end companies. It's a nice mid-level piece if you find em at the right price. The problem with simba is that you pay high-end price for mid-level glass.
I bought this mega fritted disc for 260$... That is cheap for Simba I feel. Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Grasscity Forum mobile app
