Okay so this is what I have A metal socket ( bowl ) Glass down stem Glass bottle and a plastic cap for the bottle Pen casing for the straw I put two holes in the cap and put the down stem and straw through it. How can I attach the bowl to the down stem? I've just been holding it there with some pliers, but this obviously isn't the best way. And also sealing off any cracks, what should I use? Ill post a pic soon when I get ahold of my camera.
I would recommend picking up a Grommit bowl piece from a local headshop for like 2.50, or a GonG slide. If you use glue or anything like that to hold the bowl to something the glue will melt when it heats up and you will get glue fumes. As far as sealing up other cracks glue should be fine. Where are you from?
I live a few hour drive from Vancouver. Yeah I'm going to go buy a real piece this weekend ( hopefully ) so I wont have to worry about this anymore. How well do small metal pipes work? And are they worse for you to use then glass? Because I can get a pretty sweet one for like 13$, but the whole metal thing kinda freaked me out.
