This is my first Salt piece. I've always been in complete awe of his amazing work, and have been waiting to find that perfect one for me... I wanted my first Salt piece to be a truly special pick up for me, one that I LOVED, not just really really liked. And I have finally found it It's a stemless bubbler collab between Salt and Micah Evans, titled "Saltelite #2". Huge thanks to Korin from Easy Street Gallery for all her help. This was my first time visiting Easy Street, and it will most definitely not be my last! If you haven't had the chance to visit, I'd highly recommend dropping whatever you're doing and drive there immediately; it's a little slice of heaven Update: Milk Vid in post 16 And on to the pics. Enjoy!
wow, you know IMO theres some collabs that just dont work well together. the pieces usually have definitive style clashes which make it undesirable to me... this however is not one of those pieces.. these two artists work well together.
I would agree, it wouldn't be too hard to believe salt doing this piece all on his own. This is the sicket bub i ever seen, i don't even wanna know how much it was, but tell me!
I don't know if you're ever going to smoke out of that piece of art but does it have a normal downstem or does it diffuse
Protip-It cost A LOT. That is truly an amazing piece, Easy Street has some of the best glass in the world. Micah Evans bub's really hit nice, they are really great functioning pieces, and the work Salt did to that bub is incredible. I'm sure you are quite happy with that purchase as you should be!
Thanks for the compliments guys! Easy Street really hooked me up and knocked the price down to $3K... the sticker price was significantly higher than that. Oh believe me, this piece will be smoked! It's actually a stemless bubbler... the water sits in the section that makes the little "Buddha Monster's" legs. Absolutely, Easy Street gets in some of the most epic glass in existence. It's almost scary to think that this Salt piece is only "average" for Easy Street. And I most definitely am very happy with this purchase to say the least
That piece is intense! Pricey, but it sounds like exactly what you were lookin for and a piece of that quality will remain a collectors item as long as it's taken care of. Beautiful piece.
Thanks! I really appreciate how most people here don't chastise me for spending so much on a piece, but instead understand and appreciate the fact that it's a piece of art that I feel a connection with.
Exactly man, its art, FUNCTIONAL ART at that. Why pay 3 grand on a painting, when you could on something functional? Some people just don't understand though.
