Recently there have been some RooR products showing up on Ebay. I contacted the seller to see what other pictures of fakes I could get out of him so that I could load the pictures here and give you some examples of fakes. Some of them are obvious, and some not so obvious. Sorry in advance for image size, I didn't have time to resize them. Hopefully who ever provided me with these pictures will be able to get me some more pictures of fakes.
I don't really think so. It's a bong company, so what official will even care. And also I didn't hear any stories of RooR trying to go after these people who were making fakes.
i really want to throw a brick in their window. i hate the fat bitch that works there. she tried to sell me a "worked .de roor" for $200. hahahahaha what a stupid cunt, the bad thing is she might believe they are real and be getting ripped off herself. doubtful but she is that dumb
I do believe those ® mean something. If they could get a registered trademark, ROOR is entitled to the protections that come with it. Fake ROOR sellers could be arrested just like any other scammer on the streets of NYC hawking fake Rolex watches.
We should see if we can't hunt down a phone number or email address for the new ROOR/ZOB shop. I'm sure they'd be interested in emailing eBay and making calls to take down a counterfeit-selling shop. Stairway to Heaven in Ann Arbor also sells fake ROORs apparently. I have not witnessed them myself but one of the heads at 42 Degrees told me and the stairway folks even sent one to Dementia to confirm it. They're still for sale I guess though. We'll see when I stop by on Friday.
They said they would have a common design, not source. There's no way Roor can produce outside the U.S. and import them all in, at least not as a whole product.
Yes they can. They just haven't been willing to. Ever heard of import glass? It's not all sent as vases and drilled here. Plenty of full tubes come in fully constructed. Here's the source... not sure who you're quoting man. Heavens, no. They bought some fakes from some counterfeiter and sent one in to Dementia because they did not believe the tubes were fake.

What that means is that there will no longer be differences in the product line, i.e. different diffusers, etc., it's not a comment on where production takes place.
That doesn't mean that it won't be differences in diffusers. They will still offer all different colors and sizes bongs and straight tube and beakers but they will all be made with the same quality and standard. There won't be really won't be such a huge gap in the difference between German made R00Rs and US made R00Rs...
Here's part of the Roor.de press release: "We endeavor to provide a consistent product line no matter where you see us!" That to me, means there will no be differences in product lines, irrespective of where production occurs.
To me that means that everything will be the same, and that it won't be blown from a bunch of different blowers, but I could be wrong.
i have a local shop have has 2 black label and 1 red lable straight tube RooRs i believe they are about 18 inches tall with ice pinches the owner said he bought them in the states and brought them back and they are priced at 199$cdn does it seem fishy? they look as if they are the same thickness and have the squiggly line as a sig and no diffused downstem, im going to go back sometime this week to see if i can sneak some pics
