Roor Apprentice Here. Help.

Discussion in 'Bongs, Dab Rigs, Bubblers, Water Pipes' started by iSmoker, Dec 8, 2009.

  1. im just saying. i believe an actually person ive met in the flesh rather than a thread jockey. i just want to know company bio..........anyone? he could be right, just going off of what ive heard personally from a person in the business for years.

im sure roor.de is awesome in germany. but thats not my argument. they are great and consistent pieces, not the best in my opinion.

this argument has gone off topic though.

i suggest, promote your us economy and buy us pieces.
DONT BUY ROOR IF IT IS TOO HARD TO DESTINGUSH REAL FROM FAKE. stop buying nice ass pieces if you dont know shit about glass too...llol

Show me a much better straight tube than a German ROOR. Show me a company with as consistent top notch quality control. Show me a tube with consistently perfect joint angles, straight joints, consistent tube thickness, thick beakers and bases, extra flame polished glass (yes they actually give their tubes a little more torch for that extra shine!), etc... all while maintaining a full high end line. Keep in mind ROOR is no boutique name like Sovereignty or US Tubes... they're big time... meaning constant production.

We all seen great ROOR.de tubes... so let's see these amazing "much better" and cheaper straight tubes that you speak so highly of.

    ROOR.de

Whoever this person you know is... they don't know shit. And suggesting for people to stop buying genuine ROORs because they're hard to distinguish from fakes doesn't make any sense. Identifying fakes is very difficult when ill equipped but this thread alone could prevent any reader from buying a fake. Pretty much every common detail for spotting them has already been posted here.

  3. Where did you get that picture? I like it a lot.

  4. Genuine-looking fake:

    1) Small ice pinches
    2) Short, shallow joint
    3) Typical fake sig (this one shows up a lot so look out!)

  5. Then you just don't know what you're talking about. You still have produced no better tube. Move along dude... your "point" never belonged in this thread in the first place.

  6. Sorry but you are incorrect. EDIT is not selling fake Pure's.

    Worked Fake ROORs...

    1) Obviously slanted base on the beaker.
    2) Huge label on a worked tube.

    1) Red lip on joint
    2) Short, shallow joint.

  8. good looking out bro:hello:

    Yet another semi-convincing fake:

    1) Lip!
    2) Sig placement is too high for bistabil dots.
    3) Straight edges on the R's in ROOR (There was once a time when ROOR used straight edge R's. That time is long past. Any ROORs still around with those labels are easily identifiable as old school ROORs by sig and other considerations)

  10. Good stuff sinsemillapleas, keep them coming..

  11. If you've ever wondered why so many fake ROORs have that "dots around the joint" sig... here's your answer.

    Legit old school ROOR sig:

    All fakes.

  13. Here is a Real German Roor Rasta Icemaster... Sorry I just love this thing :)[ame=http://s1006.photobucket.com/albums/af188/kjchillz/?action=view&current=Capture_20091208.flv]Capture_20091208.flv video by kjchillz - Photobucket[/ame]

  14. thanks for the thread bro. im heading out to get a roor tomorrow so this is really helpful!

  15. Ohh are you poppin your Roor cherry?! haha when i did, it was the second best day of my stoner career, with the first being the first time i got high of course :p

  16. Good luck man, after reading this thread and looking at the pictures you should know what to look for.

  17. lol ight. i was going to be nice and accepting.
where is your company bio? where does it say roor.de is first to produce glass on glass.

roor can perfect there products but supporting a foreign company helps in no way our economic situation.
toro is extremely consistent. illidelph is becoming more consistent and artistic in their work (i believe the most artistic). roor.us has just as good glass blowers as in germany. their companies lux and sheldon black are very consistent in producing perced pieces.
wicked sands was also consistent in there perc trees.

    LIKE I HAVE SAID
roor makes an extemely consistant piece. but they refuse to change from a regular tube.

stfu and stop being ignorant and hard headed.
    now answer my questions. OMFG

    actually...nvm.
dont answer it, its really ok. this thread is definitley not made for an argument.

    peace man
im done argueing with you dude this is rediculous. i dont need to prove myself over the internet. lol

  18. Louis Vuitton puts the same pattern on all their purses and they are extreme high quality, so does that mean that you shouldn't buy them since they do the same thing. RooR makes the same pipes because it works for them, no one is complaining and they don't need to expand their horizons because people will still buy RooR. You can't get mad at them because they make very generic pipes, they do a good ass job.

  19. lol not mad. i said they do a good job.
i like roor products. just not my first choice and im giving my opinion.

    man people distort words.

    peace everybody

  20. I don't owe you anything... not even an answer to your threadjack. Go do some research if you really don't know anything about glass. It's not my job to teach you glass history 101. I tried to get you to drop it... maybe this -rep will do a better job. Please if you really must know why ROOR.de is superior or ROOR's whole company history please start your own thread. I'm sure there are plenty of people who'd love to tell you what they know about ROOR.
