Roor Apprentice Here. Help.

Discussion in 'Bongs, Dab Rigs, Bubblers, Water Pipes' started by iSmoker, Dec 8, 2009.

  1. Uh what? Ha i know, but it's still fake, the joint is tiny, the bowl is way off, and the mouthpiece looks too flat.

  2. The only thing about this "ROOR" that I haven't seen before on a confirmed genuine tube is the sig. The angle of the picture doesn't let me see the joint well enough to say anything about it.

  3. ^^ Roor felt really nice and thick, ya sorry about pics there done on my phone.. i was thinking of getting it if it was real.. but figured id let you guys decide that if u can somehow figure it out with the sloppy pics

  4. Thanks for the info yo:hello:

The ONLY thing that makes me think its real is the thickness in the ice pinches. I feel like most fakes are 3.2mm, and that looks like a 5mm by those pinches. But everything else looks off, ha..

    Your very welcome!

  6. could this be done to my roor?[IMG]

if so, how much you think a blower would charge for a transformation like this....that inline roor is sooo sick!

  7. I would just get it repaired, that's a real simple fix. It would be a waste to turn a perfectly functioning tube into an Inline, you would be throwing away a lot of the tube. If you want a inline just buy one it would probably be cheaper. Just my .2 cents

  8. I wouldnt mind turning it into an inline, in fact id rather do that than just get it repaired normally i also have a 2 foot rasta roor and a sheldon black that my friend bought me to replace that broken roor cause he broke it so im not really too concerned about getting it fixed how it used to be. If i could get an inline out of it that would be awesome

  9. I'm sure you could find a blower that would do it, but like others have said it would be expensive and that tube isn't damaged enough to change it into an inline. The tube pictured with the inline was broken up to the ice pinches, so it has to have EVERYTHING redone.

My advice would be to either keep that RooR how it is, or get it fixed with a stand put back on it. And then go buy yourself an inline that is actually made by someone who specializes in inline like LW. I think this will be much easier, and less expensive in the long run. Like I said, you could find a blower but it would be hard because they could have to take so much off of that tube.

  10. Okay looking to buy this ROOR CUSTOM 3.2 MM MINI MASTER, YELLOW LABEL from a local place. Says its german glass, not US. Would appreciate the help of some of the experts so I dont get screwed.

Mind i say, it hits incredibly smooth, and anywhere that gets water on the glass it dries really fast, unlike a really shitty bong i had before...

The only reason i woulds beleive my piece to be fake is because the R's have Corners, but im looking at real roor's and some have R's like mine and some dont.. so idk i think it may be real

Also the glass is really thick, and strong, and its a very stirdy Roor..

Elbow: Your headshop lied to you. That is a US ROOR. Genuine... but not German. Maybe they tried to trick you with the words... the glass tubing IS German... but the bong wasn't made there.

inkredibuds: Your ROOR is genuine. ROOR used to use squared off r's like that. Not sure how that tube sat deadstock for so long though.

Yeah dude, i think it sat for a while cause the guy at the shop seemed like he didnt get many customers cause he sold me my bong fast for 200 and he gave 2 free blunts and a big cushony case for it for free worth like 20 bucks.. but atleast its real right? haha im so happy man

Hey man I don't think that roor is a legitimate US or German. The lip of the bong looks a little odd but that may be from the pictures. The Diffuser and the bowl are a dead giveaway that it is not legitimate. I said I "don't think it's legitimate" because the pictures don't show very much of the bong's details. If it's possible to get better pictures then go for it.

  18. Huh? Wha?? His diffuser and bowl are dead on.. like some of the best and most obviously ROOR produced I've seen. ROOR tends to slack on the accessory labels. They end up crooked and warped and the downstems have defects on occasion. His are awesome and he's got an old d-cut diffy.

The bowl shouldn't have a Registered R in case you were expecting one

  19. I agree with you, and that is a fake diffy, the font should read in the opposite direction. That bowl is definitely fake as well, i have never seen any stock ones with that long of a stem.
