Roor Apprentice Here. Help.

Discussion in 'Bongs, Dab Rigs, Bubblers, Water Pipes' started by iSmoker, Dec 8, 2009.

  1. See it in person, if welds look clean, glass is thick, then with the a/c, id be worth around $150 max.

Even then why would you want to buy a Roor ripoff.. just go with something no-name brand, you'd probably get a better price anyway.

Look online man, Gc shop or edit, similar beaker style bongs for much cheaper. Unless you're buying a genuine Roor there is no point spending money on a crappy china knockoff like that. Also, it'll be a drag monster with those close ended percs.

  2. ne one have anyidea of the 2 roor's i posted a few pages back?
    the rasta and beaker
    thanks guys

  3. My Gear bit the dust, and I'm looking for another piece with an ashcatcher and preferably a beaker base... I'm looking at that FrooR in person in a little while, and if it feels as cheap as it is, I'll probably say goodbye to the perc and go for...

It's 7mm, 24" tall, roughly the same price as that imitation Roor. I'm finding it really difficult to find a legit Roor or any Illadelph in Vancouver. Thoughts?

  4. If the shop is removing things from the tubes that the manufacturer intends to sell as a package, it is unlikely that they are an authorized distributor. Just don't buy from them.

Never. That was actually the fakest ROOR I've ever seen. So fake, in fact, that I just invented a new word to describe precisely how fake it looks.

If you really are set on a ROOR or Illadelph check out the website I just pm'ed you. It's a buy/sell/trade glass forum. Wait until a piece you like comes up for sale and go for it if the price is near or below retail shipped to Vancouver. From what I've heard from heads in Canada most if not all of the ROORs there are rare, German and pricey.

Hahahaha, I agree man. That double bubble bottom is just TOOOOOOOOOO much.

But here is another RooR I know NO ONE has seen... it's fake ;)

Just kidding, it is real. It started out as a normal RooR and then was broken by accident and turned into a wonderful inline. :)

  6. dude2k5 i dont think its really i have NEVER seen a roor ac with a sig

  7. does all this info apply to all roor products. for example i have a "roor" diffy that im kinda doubting is actual roor now since the label is facing the wrong way

  8. the trademark R logo should be at the top of the diffuser/slide closest to female joint on slide rather then below and closer to the holes.

holding diffuser straight up the R should be on top of logo RooR, only way to tell is by posting a picture.

  9. The diffy's read the right way when you put it upside down, so they should read the opposite as a tube if you hold it upright.

  10. Hey guys whats your opinion of this roor? there was also a red straight tube beside it, it was on a 4/20 sale

  11. So I am looking at a Roor.us and wanted to know if there were a lot of fakes of US roors. Its got the american flag on the logo and the logo and the registered mark looks legit. Do US roor's have 18.8 joints or are they all 14.5?

  12. There are PLENTY of fake RooR.US tubes, thats why I built the thread homie. BUT if your talking about the American Flag label, and if there are a lot of fakes of that version RooR. I know I have seen one American Flag RooR that was fake, but I haven't seen many come on the forum. And RooRs use all sorts of joint sizes, it depends on the tube.. some are 14.5, some are 18.8. I think one of the best ways to tell is either the signature or the joint. Because they either fucked up the logo or they didn't, so even if the logo looks straight, it STILL could be fake because the logo is the easist part to replicate. (Some ppl still don't get it right though, lol!) Look through these pages and check out all the fake signatures, so you know which ones to look for. Also look at the joint weld, it should be very clean and smooth. I'd say you do have a better chance then most people though, don't see many fake American Flag RooRs I guess. Use your instinct man, and if you think it is fake then don't buy it. You might get a little :( because you don't own a RooR, but trust me. It's not the end of the world.. wait a little bit, save up, and wait for these new RooRs to start hitting the shelf and hopefully put these fakers out of business.

Good luck brotha, and don't hesitate to ask as many questions as want, that is why I created this forum. To inform and educate!

  13. Thanks Ismoker. I thought that since Roor.US shut down chinese fakes would stop producing them since it would be obvious that roor.us would still be produced. The joint looks really smooth actually and the angle of the joint looks legit. The joint isnt shallow either but the only real concern is the signature. Its I think four blue dots and one orange one and its around the joint but not so much hugging them. I also found out that the guy is a legit collector so I guess I should feel somewhat reassured. If there is anything wrong with the signature please message me otherwise I think you and your guide covered it. Thanks

  14. Just be careful, people might not be who they seem to be, or say to be. I have heard many head shop owners come up with nonsense just to try and sell a piece. To be able to verify the signature, you would need to try and get a picture of it, then I am sure we could tell you it's legitimacy.

  15. Here is the roor i tried posting before, its on a 4/20 sale at a local headshop.. could only get 2 pictures but tell me what you guys think?

  16. ^ Sooooo fake

  17. Since I am kinda new as well to the whole identifying if its a fake or not I am going to take my stab at it. What stuck out the most to me was the shallow ice pinches?

  18. Don't know about that... sig had to be on a real tube at some point or it wouldn't be on fakes.
