The guy that was selling all the fake roor on ebay a few weeks back has now opened his own websight. glassonglasspipes dot com is the address. he has a phone number listed, we need to blow that shit up with legit questions about real roors, lol...
Thanks for sharing this man. I had been exchanging emails with that guy for awhile, and he was "acting" like a nice normal guy, with a kid, trying to make money... I will definitely be emailing the site and driving them out of business as soon as possible. WWW.GLASSONGLASSPIPES.COM CARRIES FAKE ROORS
Good find REEL. Check out the disgusting signature on this one.... makes me wanna vomit all over it. seems like this bastard has been shelling out fake ROORs for a while. Sig is almost identical to the fake ROOR i posted about 1.5 months ago.
I definitely wasn't thinking and for some reason had imagined that you wrote A/C in that thread because I was I'm sure stoned. I know that they make the Tri-Colored Rasta tubed in the US and in Germany. But like I said above I have only seen a German A/C.
Hahahah, that's cool. i'm stoned 100% of the time when i'm on GC Did RooR.us ever make tubes w/ 14mm joints? Does bistabil make 14.4mm joints? I'm really hoping this is a .de
Holy shit, that site is solid gold! The fake illys make me laugh... didn't even bother slapping a label on them.
I just purchased a sheldon black. It looks legit. Anything I should be looking for to see if its fake or real? It hits like a RooR. Ive smoked out of nonnamebrand glass on glass and the high just wasnt the same as my sheldon black or any RooR ive used. Maybe Im just crazy?
btw. Purple Haze in greenville, sc is selling a fake roor. its thin as hell with no signature and no roor design on the diffuser at all not to mention its diffused with slits not holes. hahaha
I am very new to high end glass (I wouldn't consider my tube high end, it's just a quality product), and I was wondering why anyone would take the risk of buying a Roor when there are so many fakes out there. There are plenty of excellent companies that have no impersonators, so why not just choose one of their products and buy with complete confidence?
It's not that hard to recognize fakes from reals, a year ago i almost bought a fake but after reading up online a lot and looking at different shops, i was able to determine what were fakes and what weren't. But i have always liked Roor, they look so much cleaner than a lot of pieces out there and they really aren't that expensive, people who go out and buy cheap glass that breaks quick and go out and buy another make me laugh, i have had my Roor for 9 months and it's still going strong .
if these fakes spent half the time they did copying legit roors, into creating a solid brand themselves, i'm sure they'd make more money and not be complete bastards at the end of the day.
It's only hard if you choose to patronize a store that is not an authorized dealer. Every authorized dealer has a sign from ROOR that says so... usually placed in the window of the shop. There really aren't very many companies that make a product comparable to ROOR's at a similar price point on a similar production scale to make them widely available.
I'll take your word for it, but if it was this easy to avoid fakes, there wouldn't be a 33 page "real or fake?" thread for them. It seems like it's probably easy to avoid them if you know what to look for, so would you say that most of the people who are fooled don't know that fakes exist in the first place? Oh curiosity.
Yeah, most people don't even know fakes exist in the beginning. And all you need to read is my post on first page, the first orginal one I did, and those tips alone will tell you everything you need to know to spot a fake ROOR.. the rest of the pages are filled with pictures and discussion.
It really is as easy as checking for a sign at the door. Seriously. People just don't know they need to until they stumble across an internet thread after purchase.
