and the downstem on most pieces comes to within 1" of the bottom of the piece...If you get a separate diffuser the best thing is to try several till you find one that fits your tube nicely
It had a more proffesional looking tag on it besides the price tag that said $190, but nothing other than that I don't think. They took all the stickers off.
I picked up a new 36" White Label RooЯ today This tube is pretty unique because it was a collaboration and was blown by two blowers thus has 2 signatures. Enjoy.
nice, but were you ever REALLY curious about whether it was fake or are you just showing it off? I'm pretty sure theres a high-end picture thread for that.
I posted the pictures to show that there could be 2 signatures and still be legit. That way in the future, we have more pictures of water pipes we can compare other possible "fake" roor's to. I'm just trying to contribute to the GC community. I post all my water pipes in threads that are appropriate for them to be posted in... for example, a roor in a roor thread.
I agree with you man, thanks for sharing this. It is a very unique piece and even if its real it's still nice to see a new R00R. I know I love seeing different pictures of peoples R00Rs even if I have already seen one identical to it. But overall sweet pick up on the tube man, I use to have a beaker and loved it.
i have a roor that is the same as that blue striped one. can you tell me anything about it.. this is the only other pic if seen of one with the same label. just trying to learn about it more. ie thickness, whats with the label, avg price...etc
The one you have pictured above looks like a normal 5mm straight tube, the label is taken from the German "Blue Series" that R00R makes and its kinda like a Zumo, and I would say the average price is around $300 maybe but I could be wrong.
Sorry but I think it's a fake. It's got ice pinches and the blue series isn't supposed to. The sig looks like a squigle instead of a single dot. The joint looks to be at a larger than usual angle too. The larger blue series roors also have a more Zuni style mouthpiece. If I'm wrong then it's probably .us and not .de.
Both of you are wrong. The tube is not a fake R00R, its a .US and they just decided to use that label because they wanted to. If you read my guide it says that you can't compare German labels to United States labels or signatures really also. I was just showing the poster were the label came from. And Walter I don't think there is really any concrete solid proof that ZOB is making R00R. There is plenty of rumors but I don't think anyone knows that for sure.
ZOB is a brand not a person, and the Roors are being made at the same shop where ZOB is made. This isn't a rumor. So I think a convenient designation for the new roors is "zob roors" even if that isn't technically sound terminology.
ZOB is a person because I am talking about the people that blow for ZOB I do not think blow for R00R. You can say they do but show me legit proof, R00R never made a statement stating it. And I am talking about ZOB as being a person not a brand. I know it is a fucking brand and not a specific person but when referring to ZOB I was referring to the overall people that blow them. They are not sitting there also blowing R00Rs I don't think so.
That is certainly your prerogative. Although the reason I laughed is because you completely missed my point, it has nothing to do with me not wanting to reveal my sources or what I've been told. I think you may find it helpful to re-read my post about convenient terminology.
Rereading it did make sense but still why call them that if that is not what they are at all. What is a "new" R00R? Just because someone bought it doesn't mean it was blown in the last couple months man, you know that. I know you are no dummy Walter, you have a R00R yourself. I went a little over the top in photoshop. Heh! I miss it!
