My .de reducing joint came in with a crooked label. It's from EDIT so it's not fake. I guess I just got a bad label.
I got a RooR.de diffused downstem from weedcity that has a few little marks where the label looks like it didn't adhere or something. You'd think RooR.de would have better QC and not send out stuff like that to shops.
They had Roor's at the Hot Box in Beaverton. I don't know if they still do or if its all Sheldon Black.
Very interesting thank you for sharing these pictures. I think the first two R00Rs were not to bad of fakes. The labels looked pretty solid IMO but the sticker on the base is just not R00R like. Interesting they also sell SYNs, usually when a shop sells fakes they only sell other shitty ass glass but SYN is a very nice company and I have also seen some ok PHIRE stuff that was interesting. The Kustom is crazy, I have never really seen a fake Kustom, I would need to hear from other people because that one stumbles me. I would think that the work would be to unique and hard for like some China plant to blow. Hmmm?
QFT I go out of my way to hit a SYN daily... Gotta check my LHS with all of this new found knowledge...
This is soo true, my g/f and I were in N.C and were checking out this shop there and they had these uber fake looking Roors and they were acting like they were Real and they knew everything about glass. My g/f and I just loled when we left the store.
Hey gc ive got a quick question. Im in the roor market, and ive been eyein this piece in a local headshop. After seeing this thread im a bit weary of buying a fake, and would like yalls opinion on it. He claims its a legit .DE and its got a "made in germany" tag on it. (sorry for shitty camera phone)
Very fake, if you are in the US and their is a rectangle "made in germany" sticker, it's a fake, it is a growing trend lately to put them on the tubes.
Also the .de Roors are labeled based on type. Blue is always a thin walled straight tube with an hexagonal base. No ice notches. Also most (if not all) of the blue label tubes them now don't have the sig on them. Just a coloured dot. They do however have a made in Germany tag on the base. Basically like this.
