Hey guys, i believe these are fake... china tree percs, right? There was a local guy selling these a while back in rhasta, red, yellow, green, and blue. Said he won a warehouse auction and got over 100 of these in the winning sale.
Yes, he probably did get them in an auction because all of them are fake. The box just looks sketch; I keep seeing all of these fakes with boxes, so don't be fooled by a box because they are obv. fooling people on that aspect of it and making fake boxes too. But you can tell just because there isn't a splash guard first off, and don't tell me some don't have splash guards... correct but this isn't one of them. Percs also look cheap and crooked and the beaker shape looks to straight for me..
I'm not qualified to assert fakes vs reals, but whether that last one (the yellow beaker with a perc) is fake or not, I would have a hard time being able to tell. The only thing that I noticed is that the tube has no splash guard. The mouthpiece looks like no other RooR tube I've seen. It appears really hard to spot some fakes! But I'm not qualified to spot fakes or reals.
Yeah man, it takes some time to spot fakes and be able to tell the differences I guess. I mean I use to know nothing about glass so I didn't know this from that but I guess over time after you have smoked, and seen, and held and just been around different bongs and researched them on the internet you start to get a feel for it, and look... not saying you haven't that is just how I think I learned so much about glass and R00R.
My buddies tube that resides at my house has a lip just like the one pictured. The one you have on your tube is one that I've only ever seen on double percs. Of course, I don't mean to imply that this one is real... it isn't... just that they made a pretty good fake. Another clue: ROOR perc arms meet at the top of the upstem. Chinese perc arms typically meet below the top of the upstem, leaving a dead end above the arms.
It looks like the angle of the joint puts the downstem almost in the middle of the beaker. On mine the downstem is nestled down in the bottom of the beaker. If you know what I'm sayin.
Okay, so, everything I've learned about telling fake ROORs from real ones, I've learned from GC and threads like this. I don't know anything at all from strict experience. But I have a question, regarding that last yellow labeled fake ROOR. Would it be fair to say that the sig on that one is an obvious fake? I think I've seen pictures of real ROOR's with sigs like that, and from what I recall the curls usually look much tighter and closer together, and more professional I guess. So, would the signature on that one be an indicator to those of you who are more experienced in this kind of thing?
It just looks too much like they couldn't get the... I don't know what you'd call them... curly-zig-zag things very close together, it has a very amateur look to it. Is that something anyone else looks at? Surely I can't be good at this, I don't think I've ever even seen a real ROOR in person.

There was a guy in my picture thread who thought my tubes were zobroors, anyway he posted this link: Gotham Smoke Shop - Page 166 - TokeCity and I had never seen these pics, so be on the lookout for real (technically) zobroors with sparse sigs
There is a Roor in a headshop in my area, black label, and has a white sticker on the back that says "Little Sister". I thought it was a lil sista? I could be totally wrong. It is also UNsigned. fake? I think so..
Yeah I would stay away from it if it is unsigned. And also the spelling of Lil Sista shouldn't matter on legitmancy, but honestly without pictures no one can make a accurate decision. Read my first post and get some knowledge and then go in and make your own decision on if its fake or not.
I'm not in the market for a roor at all, haha I was just asking for a second opinion because it is $279 and I have always assumed it was fake.
Oh haha, well I can't really make an opinion without pictures but if it doesn't have a sig then I bet it's fake... 99% of them have sigs
I kind of wonder if Portland is just behind the times, or what. Because I don't think I've ever even seen a ROOR in a shop here (in fact I've never seen one in person either). I remember when I started posting on here, I had never even seen a glass on glass bong. All the ones in head shops were still grommet bongs. A while later they started having (what I guess I'd call) half GonG bongs, with the glass on glass downstem/slide but a thick grommet holding the downstem in. And then about a year ago I saw some Phires in a Portland head shop, and that was the first time I'd seen anything near name-brand. I've heard they have some ROORs and stuff at a shop out in Beaverton, but you'd think Portland would be more on top of that shit! Sorry, that was totally off topic, I'm just rambling.
