hey i was on EDIT and was lookin around i narowwed it down to 2 the 14in little sista rasta logo or the yellow label minimaster straight tube..wich would be best??thanks
I was talking about a totally different tube dude. Didn't realize you were still talking about that yellow one... but even with this example you're overlooking the fact that diminishing quality control standards changed the way ROORs looked over time. Compare a legit 05 ROOR to a legit 08-09 ROOR and the difference is clear. You can NEVER post just one legit tube and compare it to another and call it a fake. It just isn't that cut and dry. You've really got to draw from ROORs of different years to establish which are fake. Here's a juxtaposition of two legit ROOR's... Obviously one is a Zumo... but look at the bases. Totally different. That tube you linked doesn't scream fake when I compare it to all the ROORs I've seen. I've seen real ones that look pretty similar. That's why without a sig, I won't say.
I didnt read the whole 11 pages on here on account i am to high but another way is to look at the trade mark stamp if it is on the bottom or top of the roor logo i dont know which is fake but i think if it is at the top it is not surre though. Then again I think i am wrong i think i was think if the trade mark was at the bottom of an R like this .R the . being the trade mark but i guess they are all at the top. I remember when they first started making fakes the trade mark of located differently. I deff. had a fake roor, but it had a small label thought it was real, but then it has two clear signs its fake the curve in the stem is not smooth flowing and the sig is right up against the stem and beakers joint.
I personally think straight tubes look the best. FYI, if you decide to go with the minimaster, weedcity has the same exact tube, but with a red label. I didn't care to have a yellow label so I went with weedcity. They also have a policy to ship out another tube if customs seizes the first. EDIT doesn't which is another reason I went with WC. I didn't want to spend $200 on a tube and then get screwed by customs.
I didn't pay a lot for my little ROOR ($120), but I'd be heartbroken if it was a fake. It is soooo much nicer than any of the various bongs I had in the 70's and 80's. I bought it at a very reputable head shop in lower Manhattan and I got it for $60 bucks off the sticker price, with a bottle of cleaner as well. I'd put up a pic but its really dirty LOL. Maybe later

Real Deal Dude... some vinegar will clear up that haze on the tube. I forget exactly what you gotta do or how long you leave it. Someone else will chime in I'm sure.
^ Looks legit to me Jimbo, that is the right price range. I have the same label and size tube, but it's straight, still hits like a dream. Grab a a/c soon, maybe a inline, it will definitely set it off.
Cool It's a kick ass bong, by the far the best I've ever had, but my experience is painfully limited, despite smoking on and off for 33 years or so. And I'm going to order one of those SSFG inline diffusers for it as well. Should be fun!

Not to go off topic (sorry in advance) but what model ROOR was Phelps caught on camera with? Nevermind, got it -Roor Custom Fairmaster 5.0 - Red Vengeance. I'm surprised there aren't more fakes of this one, it was pretty famous there for a week or three...
