Hey stoners, stonettes, and supporters,ha,I'm a newcomer to grasscity that has a question. I'm sure everyone has seen the debates about the health risks of smokin' out of aluminum cans and what-not,but what about Cast aluminum? Would it be about the same? Reason for curiosity: I found this cheap, busted 20$ paintball gun from walmart laying around the house and was going to use the Co2 chamber out of it,which is made of cast aluminum, as part of a piece I'm working on,anyone have any ideas about the difference in health risks between an aluminum can and what I'm using? As long as you aren't heating the aluminum it should be fine. So if you are using the co2 canister for a chamber or something and not the bowl. Heating metal and smoking it doesnt seem like the greatest idea to me. I've got a homemade bong from aluminum cans with an aluminum downstem and a glass bowl. I'm not heating the aluminum or anything but just with the smoke passing through the cans and stem it gets a metallic taste.
