I always used bottled water im very poor so when im smoking out of a bong i either own or my friends i feel fancy ( some of my friends spend a whole months pay on glass cuz uk their rich boys ) so i always use bottled water for that reason alone never knew rap water could stain ur bong i learn new shit on here everyday
depends on the tap water. some areas have good quality, a lot of areas especially in cities, there's a lot of hard water, it's the minerals like calcium and magnesium in the tap water that leaves water stains.
Im too lazy to really care.. I do care about the stains..but I can just throw ssomething powerful in there to make them dissapear when the time comes.
We have great tap water where I live so I use that mostly, but when I have the time I drive to this natural spring in the hill and fill up a few bottles. I usually don't notice too much of a difference though.
That reminded me of a time when I was younger and went hiking with my dad and we went up to a natural spring and it blew my mind that water that comes from the dirt could be cleaner than water that comes from my sink hahahaha
I use distilled water but even when I rinse it out using distilled water I get water stains. Trying to get a water stain out of one of my bongs now and it's nearly impossible. I checked out my other pieces and they look like they have some level of water stains too but not as bad as one of my bigger bongs. So I'm gonna try purified water once I get the hard water stains out or if I do. I actually never noticed the hard water stains until recently.
I like buying bottled water. When you have a wonderful, clean piece of tap water, it is unpleasant when you can actually taste and smell chlorine in it. Furthermore, I believe that bottled water has a lower likelihood of depositing calcium and lime on glass.
