Pressurized isopropyl alcohol

Discussion in 'Bongs, Dab Rigs, Bubblers, Water Pipes' started by Filip10998, Jan 13, 2020.

  1. Has anyone used a weak pressure washer to shoot pressurized isopropyl alcohol into their pipes to clean them? As long as it's weak enough to not break the glass it would be more efficient.

  2. Nope just salt and iso soak n shake. Finish it off with a qtip

    Denatured Alcohol and rock salt.

    ISO = 70-90% alcohol 10--30% water

Denatured Alcohol AKA marine stove fuel = 100% alcohol. No water.
Better for cleaning hands and tools at harvest time as well.

  5. I see your point, but it could be made into a small, easy to use product that, in certain situations, would make cleaning much easier. What do you think?

  6. That is actually really helpful. Might try using it for getting car grease off my hands.

  7. Apparently using denatured alcohol is better for cleaning but might be worse for your skin and lungs.

  8. Putting that herb in the pipe and burning it while sucking that smoke in can't be too much better

  9. blasting pressurized ISO alcohol into a dirty pipe sending ash/rez/iso/salt all over the place?

No lol. a ziplock bag, ISO, and salt. Pipe goes in. shake it around for 30 seconds.

rinse clean with water. let it dry

    done.

  10. We have 3 most commonly encountered Alcohols in general use
Ethanol = Drinking grade. Highly taxed.
Isopropyl = Rubbing. Medical uses for external use only. Highly toxic to ingest.
Denatured = Usually Ethanol with a bittering agent added to make it unpalatable so drunks won't use it. Again highly toxic.

For cleaning it really doesn't matter what one you use as all 3 rinse clean with soap and water.
