Man... I don't want to be a dick but aren't you kinda doing it to yourself? Maybe I'm not understanding you right. I can tell that you're frustrated and I know that I tend to be very forgetful when I'm bothered enough for the sharp f-bombs to come out. What I took away was that you went to buy a bong that was presented as being $100, but it was actually $210. That's more than you wanted to spend because you have to fix your car. What's confusing is that you act like the local bong salesman actually slighted you somehow by getting the price wrong, or perhaps going for the lazy haggle. It makes it seem like somehow you had no choice but to fork the $210 over, like he is the one putting your car in jeopardy, when it would be you making the choice. If you were looking forward to it, that sucks, but the money's not gone because someone puts a price out there. It just means you have to compromise something for the time being. Or just walk away and find somebody more reliable. Just based on what you put out, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Dishonesty or maybe even just a lack of on-your-shitness on behalf of the bong man is annoying but nothing has been taken from you. Not even the opportunity you saw in the bong was there. Maybe someone else will sell you a suitable bong for a price that's more what you already had in mind for this deal. Also, I'm assuming that this was a door-to-door salesman pitching you this bitchin $100 bong. Comes into your house for a demo and you find it hits almost too good to be true. You start to forget about the car. And then just as you're ready to buy he waves his hand "Oh no no no sir, it's $100 for the standard 12" model. This is our premium cryo-treated rez-ban coated 13.5" model. I'm offering to sell it to you with stem and bowl, a $300 total value!" Now, you remember you have less money than you planned on having better than you did before. That, I can understand. You've got these problems with the car and money's tight, when this guy comes and offers you a sweet bong at a great price. So you think of buying it, just to cheer yourself up with something you'll enjoy that won't break the bank. And then he hits you with the spiel and you find out the bong is a lie and there will be no sanctuary from cumbersome adult shit on this day. Or at least, that's what I'm guessing. Things like this have always happened, right? I get it, just wanna hit your new bong and sling it all over your shoulder. Blow it out your chest. There's always ways that can happen, but you don't always get full say. Might as well let it go and focus on what you do have. I take it you have weed for that bong. Where there is weed there is a way. No point in brooding over who/what is to blame for you getting a streak of undesirable outcomes. I'm not just saying this, either! I'm really telling you, it'll poison everything you try to do, especially if its important to you. Last week my toilet clogged and the flush valve stuck. I woke up to the breaker tripping and turned out of bed to find myself standing in 2 inches of water. The floors and a lot of the drywall has to be replaced and both bedrooms are currently unusable. It'll be a while before I get my bedroom back, and some significant chunks of money and bullshit flying through the air between then and now. So I kinda just think about where I would be at right now if I reacted to that the way you are reacting right now. I think I'd be right fucked, there! I was treading nasty water a 3am, pulling all of the furniture out for drying fans, and all I could think was "Thank god I have weed right now!" If I ain't got a way, I'm gonna find one, smoke it, and just let that be good. Besides, it's just a bong. Probably more of those than people per capita in some places. You'll get one that works for you, and then one day you won't have it anymore and you'll buy another one. No use crying over spilled bongwater, or pining for the imaginary bong you never really had. But then those are the words of a man who's had one too many encounters with what the Buddhists call 'bong impermanence', heh.
Then you need to figure out where your life is. If you need to fix your car, I will assume you can put weed aside. I meet so many people this way that are low on money and can't get it up because they spend like that. I just saved up and bought a classic car I wanted and I had togo without for abit, that should be something you can confidently do. Why would you order a $200 piece on here when you know you need the money? I also check local headshops and glass stores before I buy online thats usually my last resort and i've been using it lately since quarentine.
To me it sounds like the bong he wanted was miss marked and he had to pay $210 for something he thought would be $100. Then he was also pissed he had to fix his car on top of that. Don’t see where it says he couldn’t fix his car because he paid more for something then he thought he would have to. I think everyone is reading into this a little to much and are assuming things!
