I was bored as shit, and i like to make homemades, so i was thinking of a really diffrent material to make it out of, and this is what i came up with. its about a foot long and the bowl is huge.. Im pretty sure this cant be bad for you tell me what ya think If anyone makes this, try not o get it wet, and make sure you dont ***** lip it(no better way to say it), it will get nasty. As long as you dont hold the lighter to the pipe directly it wont burn I made it using this Recipe 4 cups plain/all-purpose flour 1 cup salt 1.5 cups water Mix ingredients in a bowl. Bake on an ungreased baking tray for about an hour at 300, or until they are hard and dry. For the bowl i made a cup shape, then flattened out a piece and put it ontop the cup. pushed it to make the dip for the bowl and poped a hole to pull though. pop another big hole in the side the the cup to connect the stem to later, you can also make another small hole somewhere for a carb. For the stem, i just rolled a big piece up like a rope and stuck a drum stick through it. you need to make the stem pretty wide because when you bake it its will close up some. I baked the bowl and the stem not connected for about 40min. To connect the two i flattened another piece of clay and wraped it around where the bowl and stem connect and baked for another 40min. after baking i cut out a little part of a screen and put it in the whole of the bowl. Let it cool. Then Rip it these are pics of bowl and carb after i baked it The mouth piece.
Naw it dosent taste bad if you dont put it in your mouth lol and it smokes really smooth, me and a couple friends riped like an 8th out of it around the fire last night, And i dont know about the salt thing, it was just part of the reciep for the clay. Its not really gross lol, i just didnt take the time to make it look good lol, I think ima try and make a sherlock next time, Im actually pretty riped now, i just hit a bowl before getting on the Computer,
Dude! I am worried about your pipe's composition. Salt is Sodium chloride and chlorine is VERY bad for the lungs! Burning can disassociate the atoms in stuff and I'm afraid that you may suffer some lung damage from your pipe! Also, until you get a resin cake built up, well... burning flour simply stinks, so I don't think you will get a very smooth smoke form your pipe! Real clay is much better! You can get low-fire clay from a ceramics shop. Also, our community college sells low-fire clay cheaply- $12 for a big old chunk of it. You can fire a well-dried clay pipe in a wood stove or a campfire, by sticking it under the wood for your fire before you light it, and then just lighting things off. The next day, you dig your fired pipe out of the ashes. However, I'm glad that some of you are carrying on the old hippie tradition of making your own pipes and bongs! Too many kids lack the creativity to create their own stuff! I have quite a collection of home-made pipes. I've used clay, gourds, brass, bamboo, pyrex lab glass, wood, stone and bone to make them, and every one is a total trip! Use your imagination and create your own! Granny
Listen to her, one of the most intelligent and knowledgable posters on the forum. Love the idea of making your own pipe, although I think you can execute it a bit better if you make it with some clay you can actually fire.
Well the reason i made it out of that is because i wanted to beable to do i without leaving home, i had already looked up all of the earth clay that you fire, i i didnt know how to do that, so i just tried something that seemed easy.
mmmmmmmmmm reminds me of a fried churro..back in grade school..those were the best snacks during lunch.
