Just like everyone else, I want to smoke and I'm worried about a dry socket. I saw a thread comment that said to wet gauze and put that over the extraction area. does that actually work? If my bf blew the smoke in my mouth after he ripped the bong, would it still create the dry socket the same way? Thanks, just another sober pothead
dry socket is from the negative pressure caused from sucking in (which will rip out the stitches) wait 2 or 3 days to let the wound heal up a bit. then yes, gently bite down on some gause, take a swig of water, spit it out, then take a bong hit.
Yep, don't drink out of a straw, ask me how I know. You should have gotten some sweet pain pills though. That'll get you through until you can smoke again. That's what I did.
thats what i've always done i dont even go as far as making the gauze wet. just use enough gauze were when you fold it into its up to your other teeth when you bite down without causing pain. keep your jaw clinched and pull from a j or pipe. smoked many of cigs like this back when i smoked plenty of j's and bowls like this as well. 4 tooth extractions worked every time. you know you have a missing tooth you dont go ham and hit the pipe like a milkshake be sure to have a clean screen if you go that route or a looser J easy to hit

I always waited at least 24 hours before smoking after a tooth removal or a root canal. I also smoked I think a jay or a bong with tons of airflow so not to actually use too much suction
Do a dirty hotel room edible.AKA single serving. Decarb a bud about the size of your pinkie finger tip nail. 240 F for 40 minutes. Grind to dust. Mix with just enough butter or cooking oil to make mud. Heat 220 F for 20 minutes Chill till firm and cut into 4 pieces. Eat one. Wait 2 hours if not stoned Eat a second chunk Wait 2 more hours if not stoned Eat the last two pieces. At some point it'll work and you'll be stoned for many hours. BNW
I got two wisdom teeth out and was ripping bongs 2 days later. Just gotta know how to be careful with it. I was a smoker at the time and the hardest thing was not to not smoke a cigarette, I still pushed my luck and was smoking the next day. A gauze pack can help, or just knowing how to be careful. My best advice is to just be careful and avoid smoking. I had a harder time not sucking my saliva and mouth and not playing with the void. Best of luck
In my state they're not allowed to give out pain meds anymore, unless it's just for cancer patients. Ibuprofin, Motrin or Tylenol only lol. I took prescription ibuprofin for my extractions. I had a denture put over them so they were all covered up when I smoked lol. But I've been there where you can't smoke. It's annoying asf. Just hang in there, you'll be able to blast off soon!
