So recently I decided to stop smoking so much flower and mainly hit dabs. I’ve been doing it with my friends for a while, just not on my own time. My point is, I have a good idea of what i’m doing. I bought a silicone straw from amazon and I’ll admit it’s nothing special but it’s just to get the job done until i can invest in a rig. The problem is, instead of vaporizing the wax it just turns it to liquid. Like it literally becomes the consistency of water and just evaporates with no smoke. I’ve tried hitting it red hot, low temp, and everywhere in between. When it is really hot, it vaporizes dabs for like a second then it seems as if it’s cooled off already. I have no clue what could be wrong. Is the straw just not good? I know my wax was not the problem

I got a nectar collector, just offbrand. You have to touch the dab with the bottom of it and inhale at same time. I cant see your link, but maybe you have too small of a "nail", or is clogging it up. just barely touch the wax with it. You need a torch to get that sucker red hot, then i do another 20s and give it a 5-10 second break and start dabbing. I do little taps.
it’s a very small straw yeah especially the nail tho. i had enough reclaim in the straw to drip the nail just after hitting a few dabs with it. i think it’s just wasting wax if anything. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
so it’s def the straw then? i should mention i’m using a pretty small torch to heat it like a gas station pocket sized one but it still gets it red hot so i doubt that is the problem. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
well, if i were you id buy this Glasscity Glass Beaker Base Dab Rig with Drum Perc | Green but this is another nectar collectar that looks similar to mine in nail size, mines not as fancy. The White Box Nectar Collector Set ive never ordered from here, but im sure its safe.
