one in the pic is the only roor steamroller I've ever seen. That picture is from 2009 so they may have changed since then.
Lot of places probably sell China knock offs , or is roor China made ?? Good luck finding original, I can’t afford roor…
No Roor is made in the USA and Germany. There are many counterfeits. The one I got is or looks like really cheap glass, not like the one in the first post of this thread.
I saw cheapo roor knock offs in a local headshop once , but I’m not sure if there American made glass is real or fake …
If you look over the reviews on this site a lot guys have the same complaint as me. The bowl just has a huge empty hole at the bottom. If you put weed in this it will just go into the steamroller and you'll be eating it. ROOR - Steamroller Pipe - Large | Grasscity.com Mine just sits in the closet collecting dust. Eventually I'll probably just put in the trash because it's not usable built the way it was. I have a better one from Headies Direct. Thick glass American made and cost me $35.
They buy from dhgate ? Or something similar , my Amg definitely seems 7mm thick but I’m not sure how to measure it , the baseplate was defective tho …. Could be a fake who knows ?? Looks thinner near the base tho probably 5mm? Tape was used to glue it but I never removed the tape figured it would protect it more .
I've heard rumors of AMG being imported from China but never really looked into. It stopped me from considering that brand though because at one time I was interested.
Yes DHgate will have glasssellers on there and the more you buy the less expensive. The more you buy the less expensive. These are most likely machine made also.
Explains why it so super cheap and hardly any information on them , probably clear glass not lab grade .. shame AMg isn’t high standard stuff maybe it was a real ligit brand once bought out by China ? I was thinking of AFM!. Alien Flower Monkey!. AMG looks like it MIGHT BE American made. The prices are more inline with other known American brands.
It’s certainly high quality, tho not a perc heavy brand lot of models are basic . Mine doesn’t even have a ice catcher why I thought it was a fake , baseplate defective too … but couldn’t return after use . One model has a inline perc prob there best .
