Well after lurking around here for the better part of a year I've decided to finally register. So to celebrate here is my favorite homemade. The Billy Mays Brain Stopper. First pics show the prototype stage with hotglue, last pic shows the finished piece with JB weld.
that's a really nice homemade. i prefer electrical tape over hot glue though... or at least hot glue then tape. just using glue makes it look kinda lame
is jb weld safe to use? im looking for something safe to use to glue my stem in to a bottle without getting lung cancer. looks frigin awesome! post some action shots when its done looks like you could milk the heck outa that. there was a billy mays thing on tv last night r.i.p billy! +rep
JB Weld is a gift from the gods for things like this. I used to use epoxy but it had a habit of failing with prolonged contact with water. The JB weld has been holding up fine for about 2 months now. Yeah I agree hotglue is lame but its great when you just want to check how its going to work without it being perminate.
