I just made this Bong 40 ounce Mickey's bottle. Bic pen for the stem. 2 different ratchets for the bowl (easier cleaning). iPod headphone screen for the screen. Weird ceramic knob for the bottom of the bowl. Hot glue and one strip of electrical tape for sealing.
I heard using pens were bad for stems. Anyways I never heard of the iPod headphone thing I should try it out sometime.
I burnt all the shit off the headphone screen and when you hold it to a lighter it turns orange because its tiny and metal. I suppose its steel. It does not let off fumes. More photos.
I'm not convinced its harmful to the body. When I hold it to a lighter there are not any fumes present. It accumulates soot like any other steel held above an open flame.
I used this stone tip type thing with a dremel At the very top of the bowl its just a layer of duck tape to hold it in, it never heats up enough to let off fumes either. NO TOXIC FUMES FROM THE PIECE!!!
Mehhh, i've been smoking homemade bongs for about 4 years, nothing at all wrong with me, and i've even smoked some where plastic has melted. His seems pretty well constructed, i'd say good job. =]
Here is a new bong, I used the same drilling method and purchased the downstem and bowl at the local hedshop.
