1980 to 1999 used to be "Gen Y" as in, they came after gen X, but there was no real societal change during that time period so their early experiences are roughly the same as gen x. That is my generation, it used to be called "the forgotten generation." Then in 2010, they nuked gen y and combined us with the millenials, born in 1999 or later. Which is kind of ironic, because now we truly are the forgotten generation.
