Your money though, spend it how you like it. Even if it means knowingly buying overpriced china glsss just to give yourself the illusion of being rich.

It's funny how some people here bash on new members buying china glass bongs, and those same people flame on these poor guys asking which bong they should buy. If you're not gonna educate them, don't bash em if they bought shitty glass. Not everyone have hours upon hours to research everything there is to know about bongs, where it was made, what kind of glass was used, if it was painted or stained, is it draggy, how well shit clears, dome, tree, single, double triple percu-fucking-lators, 12 inch vs 22 inch vs 8 inch bongs, etc. etc. You know, some people just wanna buy a piece which they think is "nice" and take hits and hits and hits and more hits out of it. I read a line in tokecity that said "Glass fights are for retards" and I agree.
sometimes I wish Weedstar or some unknown china company would make 7mm quality glass, with excellent diffusion/cooling etc. something on par or even better than the top brands, and sell em' half the price or less of roors,toro,illadelphs etc. so the snobs could just stfu.
Some of them do you just don't hear about it because anything with out a brand is excused instantly. I've seen some very solid no name glass in some shops i've been to. Thick, Strong joints, clean welds, diffusers fit perfectly and have no wobble and really to me that's all that really matters. Edit: What I said only applies for simple straight tubes
Not gonna lie, I own a weedstar. it's not the thickest glass in the world, It was probably blown in china or india, it doesn't have a nice "RooR" sticker in it, but it gets me and my friends high EVERY SINGLE TIME. It's a bent neck bong, with a diffused downstem and a bowl. all for like 28$ I probably could get a sturdier glass, that hits somewhat better than my WS*, but I kept my $300 and just bought a 160gb Android tablet instead (archos 5) I Still get high all the time, and I got shit tons to do while I'm high with the tablet. so.. I'm a pretty happy guy.
I Haven't, to be honest. that's why I'm asking. I Hate getting questions as answers to questions. Like say I get a china glass for 30$ or an ehle for 80$ straight tube, non diffused stem, How will this hit compared to say, a 250$ RooR, same size, same down stem and bowl. will the roor hit so much better than these two?
A $250 Roor will kill the best blown china glass, and last 10x as long too. There is a reason you pay a lot for a name brand bong, because you are paying for QUALITY. China glass is not QUALITY. PERIOD. It is crappy glass with tons of drag but it will get you high and nothing more. Oh and be careful dropping that thing from anything more than 1' because I doubt that can fall 7' multiple times and survive like a Toro can. I am done with this, kids will be kids. Peace.
never answered if it'll get you higher than a china bong. The only difference is that it can survive a fall better than a china bong. But simple answer is to not drop it. Other than that i dont see see that much of a difference.
Yah i think its all pref. if you dont wana spend a lot buy a cheap bong and im sure you'll love it people just like to pay more if they can for things like art and functionality thats all. I sure no bong gets you higher than another, but the quality of the hit and the quality of the bong lies in how much you are willing to drop on something. There are a few exceptions like Glassblowers like Gmd and ssfg and such.
Nobody's even answering my question. people even wander to percs being reinforced and what not, when I'm asking if there's glass A B and C, all straight tubes with a non diffused stem. will glass C hit better because it's well made ? how much difference will there be in the smoothness of a toke if it's "well made, with good sand" as compared to A and B which are low and mid quality tubes.
Eh, I'm not rich either. Besides, it broke while out of state and was very nasty and I already had to bring a 1/4 of Blue Dream and 7 other pipes back with me, but they weren't 2 1/2" tall.
Theoretically, if the bongs are built to similar specifications, they should toke the same, and get you just as high. The whole picking a quality piece versus a cheap china glass bong is just like vehicles. If you have excess money, you can spend a lot of money on expensive luxury vehicles. Or you don't have a lot of money, and you must drive grandma's old hoopty-ass wagon. Some may have money, and opt for lesser expensive vehicles, and others with little money may buy a nice car and but themselves under financial burden. It all comes down to whether or not you can afford and require said luxury.
