as i said, i was rather surprised to find people able to remove this coloration, but i figured id try it anyway that's good to know, as i said, i am happy with the bong, the fact that it is chinese made doesnt bother me in the least. thanks for your expertise [EDIT]: thanks also for introducing me to mr clean magic erasers....though they didnt remove color from my bong, my sink and stovetop are gleaming for the first time in months
well everybody im new to THIS forum but i am a member of other forums...specifically diesel performance forums. i just bought one of these chinese bongs byself and im like the people above i dont give a F*** if its made in china. i got the thing for too cheap to pass up. it is the blue one with the rounded base. i am not home right now but im going to get some pics of it to post on here and some other places. i know this is in the wrong section but when i get home i want to get some advice if i should try and get the "PAINT" off or if it is stained. i really like it it is my first bong so im proud of it. i got a bluse a/c for it that is the same color and i like it. ya its not a roor but i couldent fukin afford a roor even if i wanted to. so i will get some pics of it and get them on here.
here are a few pics of my new piece! is it painted or stained? i really like it! it smokes really well(first water pipe) i have smoked out of some nasty pipes before and i like this one and for 60$+tax i couldent help but buy it...i got the a/c for 15$. it has little drag and is easy to clear even when fully milked.
That has many of the characteristics of being painted and this is how you can tell for sure. Clean it out and look at the bottom where is rests on the table if its painted you will see where the color is starting to come off on the spots that it makes contact with the surface below. I think that it is just the base of the tube that is painted.
hey OP that shit is funny as fuck! i got the same bong same color same skull everything like 2 months ago for $50. i only used it for a month than upgraded to high end glass and let me tell you now when my wife and i even just take a hit out of it there is so much drag compared to the set up we use every day now. i dont even touch that thing anymore unless its to let amateur smokers use it cuz my 18 inch is to big for them. so i dont get how you say its got almost no drag and clears in a snap cuz it DON'T!
WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY would you spend more than $70 on china glass. dude that shit probably has like lead in it just like there vapes. i would never smoke out of something painted, much less done by a sweatshop worker named chung vi buazong(not being racist just sayin). with slightly over $140 i got an Sb and for even less my friend got an authentic yellow label roor (100% authentic).
well like i said this is my first big piece and i dont give a f^^k what everybody thinks. i like it. it is better than smoking from a 15$ glass spoon! i knoew everybody was going to bash it cuz thats the way it f*ck^n works on all forums! everybody that has more money invested gives the gies whithout that much spending cash shit! someday i will have an authentic roor or something nice but for now i cant f*kin afford it. i have been around lead for a long time. i have been reloading my own shot shells and bullets since i was in 6th grade(freshman in college now) and i mean if this thing is painted i will just use some laqer and take it off. im not worried about it. lets put it this way if im about to die from smoking that piece i will post and let everybody know now to use it. and thank you for the post right below the pics i posted for the imput. i really do appriciate it and thank you for not bashing like these other a$$ holes above. and btw yes it is easy to clear. mabe i have too much water in it or something idk and idc.

you could use nail polish remover to remove all the paint if or when it starts to chip (happened to mine except mine was a frosted glass paint). i miss the paint though it covered up how dirty it was very well
Either way though dude dont get offended by what people say here, its better then smoking out of a coke can, water bottle, or apple.. i also have a china glass piece which hasnt given me any problems besides the cheap paint since i bought it over a year ago. Isnt your paint on the outside of the glass? I saw a couple people talking about inhaling the fumes but it would be hard to believe they painted the inside.
All I am saying is I never once degraded some one for buying a china piece I mean come on I had one that was painted too... I loved that little piece unfortunately I sold it to a friend and he broke it like a week later.
BAM +Rep. Thats what it should be. If a bong has drag and the user doesnt mind it maybe it means that whoever thinks it has large amounts of drag has weak lungs? Or if the owner doesnt mind that its chinese why does everyone else really care? Smoking is for chilling out, just funny when people get into arguments or get offended(getting worked up over nothing) when they talk about how they smoke their weed.
This is the same tube my friend had....put it under hot water in the bathtub and that blue stuff will come off in sheets. thats my friends tube, EXACTLY! haha.....terrible joints & drag.
