Need help with a glass homemade

    Well first off, here's what I'm gonna be using...

    but I had a few questions...

    1. Is there any way to make the hole for the downstem without drilling?

    2. What is the best thing to use for the downstem? and bowl? (thats safe, not a pen)

    This will be my first real homemade, so I'm looking to keep it pretty simple,

    any help is appreciated :D

    Buy a real bowl to use, they are pretty cheap ( like 10-15 bucks ) and completely worth it.

    buy a real downstem as well. a grommet one will work better. then fill that guy with sand and drill.

    if you are ordering a stem and slide online...just buy a real tube

    A real downstem!

    or look for a relatively narrow glass tubing

    i used glass tubing from a cigar on one of the homemades i made and luckily the bowl fit in perfectly for a glass on glass

    You'll probably have to drill, but from the looks of that it's thin as hell. Try just knocking a TINY bit out, and forcing the downstem in carefully and it'll somewhat make itself fit, then just seal with something.
