For $20 dollars it sure looks like it does a good job. Also, I don't have a glass on glass bong. I have a Sobe bottle that I plan on making into a bong. Any suggestions on how I could fit that precooler onto my Sobe bottle?
if this is going to be a home made, I wouldn't bother with trying to add a glass on glass perc. It can be done, but you are going to have to buy and fit a glass on glass downstem into your sobe bottle. Better off just saving the money on the a/c, making a cheap home made from the sobe to last you a few weeks, and save your money to buy a nice bong for ~$125..
I would not suggest spending the money on it. It's for GonG and if you are not rocking the GonG then it just won't be needed. It's another cycle of filtration, and keeps you glass super clean, but you won't need it with a sobe bottle. You can just remake the sobe bottle over and over when it gets dirty. Save yourself the 20 bux for your first GonG.

This website wasn't very specific about the size of the downstem or the size of the precooler
Don't drill holes in your glass. It will make it extremely fragile. If you want to use GonG pieces, just save your cash and get a GonG tube.
The reason I want to make my own bong is for the satisfaction of smoking out of something you made. For example: a man will feel more comfortable in a house he built with his own two hands, than a house he bought. Anyways, so if I drill into the glass, and make sure I keep it cool, would that downstem fit? And would the precooler fit downstem? If a sobe bottle is too fragile, what do you recommend?
I recommend not smoking out of home made glass. Drop a few bucks and get something that's going to function correctly, and will work properly with the accessories you want.
Don't mean to be a bother... but why would you recommend against it? I thought glass was safe. I can understand the fragile part, but I mean as long as it doesn't shatter when I grip it I don't mind so much . By drilling a hole in the glass, would I reduce the strength of the glass by a significant amount? I'm not trying to put down your suggestions. They're very useful, I just need to know the whys, and how I can improve them. I really want to make my own bong, because I've seen many people do it successfully and it seems like a fun project to do on my own. Thanks!
well it just isn't gonna work that well, you will have to get a gong down stem and then use a grommet to fit it inside the hole. it's possible, and won't really be that weak, but you are going to spend about $50 on that a/c and a gong down stem, plus more if you need a drill bit. Might as well just save up another $50 and get a nice gong for $100 edit: plus you are wrong, i guarantee you will get more satisfaction out of smoking a roor or toro bong than any home made piece you ever make.
