I’ve recently bought a new bong and with I got another bong and bought a banger for it, the first few dabs were okay, little smoke but I got pretty high. Now it seems as if I use a lot more dab trying to figure out a temperature as I’ve done many different dabs heating for different times, but they all seem to be the same, either thing whispy clouds when I place the carb cap over it. Or one milk hit and nothing else. I see a lot of people clouding when they dab especially with small amounts. The banger is a flat top quartz or glass, could anyone help?
Get a temp gun off amazon and find what temp u like the most. Ppl doing multiple drags are either using an e rig or d nail or just got the banger at the perfect temp to get low temp convection going.
I'm no pro when it comes to dabbing, but, I am quite familiar and experienced with quality oils. When I dab, I get very small hits that are quite vaporized, very little smoke. That is when heating up my banger till orange, then apply the dab, and suck in right away. I only get small amounts, hence the term dab. I myself do not get fully satisfied from just dabbing. I do enjoy it, but prefer vaping the oil. I am kind of confused and don't fully understand why you are using a carb cap when you are trying to dab. When I dab, I don't need a carb cap and don't have any use for one. When dabbing correctly, the dab evaporates or incinerates pretty much immediately, yo u just have to be sure to suck it in as soon as you touch the dab to the hot spot on the banger. In most cases, the hit should be mostly vapor, not smoky. I use my carb cap when vaping my oil using a round bottom banger. I put the oil in, then slowly heat it, I also like to use the terp pearls which helps keep the oil from burning and offers a much larger hit. Low heat with this, no need to make the banger turn orange. The thickness of the banger makes a difference too. 2mm, 3mm, 5mm. I like the 3mm thickness the best. If yo are looking for big smoky hits, you can burn the crap out of your oil, if that is what you are really looking for, but I don't recommend it. After looking at your picture, for how dirty your dab rig looks with the dark oil, looks more like you're vaping, not dabbing. My dab banger is white where the dabs have been incinerated. Now my round bottom vape banger looks just like yours in the picture. Anyway, just my thoughts and insight. This is Grace with my oil vape banger with carb cap. I have an ash catcher attached also, I had a bad cold at the time and it helped ease the inhale. I don't normally use the ash catcher for oils.
If your looking for a temperature I have an e-nail and keep mine set at 500 which from what I understand is on the low side but at that temp I get big clouds first hit and because it’s an e-nail the temp stays and I can get a few more cloud hits out of it depending on how much I put in it. My water pipe is very similar to yours. I would start in the 500 to 600 F range.
