Well i decided to make a quick homemade bubbler out of household shit untill i get my glass one. I was sick of doing gravity bongs and i still wanted a cool way of smoking instead of joints and straight pipes like usual... I used a flim container, a mechanical pencil tube (utilized inner workings of pencil as well), and a socket. Total cost = free. Homemade vs Glass Pros: 1. Free. 2. Quick and easy to put together. 3. Hits pretty decent. Could be better (glass). 4. Very portable Cons: 1. Not very sturdy but it holds together. 2. The one i made is very small so its hard to get the perfect amt of water so it doesn't get in your mouth. I would recommend using a light bulb or glass bottle and carefully drilling it instead. 3. Girls don't think im cool anymore 4. Oh yeah..the bowl i used is pretty small...(just get a bigger socket) PS...It got me pretty high (the weed was far from schwag tho) Also, i forgot to get a picture of the stem connected to the socket which runs under the water so that it can bubble (we all know that already but w.e)
just a suggestion try making a pipe out of things that won't melt and give off toxic fumes like a jar or bottle
Yeah, theres a tube that is connected at the bottom of the socket (i forgot to take a pic) which runs down into the film container and under the water...causing it to bubble... Also, i did acknowledge in my first post that it should have been made out of glass but it actually doesn't melt or give of any fumes ( i only smoked twice out of it at separate times) and im just as surprised as anyone that it doesn't. I think the fact that i have tin foil surrounding the inner tube connected to the socket is helping with heat distribution kind of like a heat sink.

Back in my earlier days of tokin' we made a bubbler out of a sobe bottle, a mechanical pencil, and a telescopic magnet. It was pretty fun ha. Nice man. And nice bowl btw, I remember my first one. I loved it, then my dad shattered it after I got caught, and flushed a half oz. of some middies I had. Then recently my bowl broke again, fuckin sucks. Oh well, I live by the Gbongs .
where's the tin foil? i don't see it. and i think as long as the bowl and the stem connected to the bowl isn't plastic, its safe. those are the only parts that really get hot/come in contact with flame.
Exactly...and no the stem is a metal connector rod i had extra from home depot from another bong i made in the past... And wow don't care what anyone says i just packed i tight bowl of chronic in it and im high as hell so... oh and btw it hasn't burned or melted at all...
All plastic isnt really good ... also this seem to be a normal pipe as I don't see how to water get through the water that way !
I mentioned in my first post that I also thought the plastic isnt a good choice...but ive smoked out of it several times and the bowl is small enough that the flame isnt on it for that long to get it lit so it doesnt get very hot..the plastic hasnt been deformed at all so im pretty surprised... Also there is a stem going from the socket down under the water so yes it bubbles
I don't know if I'd put that much work into a homeade. I'd much rather go out and buy a nice bub and have that instead. that's definitely smart thinking though.
you have an ok idea for the bowl now just try and change out the water holding part and you may have something going
