It's made from a pom bottle and a US Army pen, + a little electrical tape for airtightness. Tell me what you think. will milk it later
^. He probably has a screen. What I really hate about homemade bongs without slides is that its a bitch to clear the ash out. I suggest you try making a homemade slide or try fitting it so that the stem is easy to remove.
I dont have a screen, the bowl is a pen tip, the bud doesnt fall through. To clear the chamber, you just push the pen tip to the side a small bit. I am trying to find a slide that the pen will accommodate. But it hits really nice and I believe looks great for a homemade.
it really is a great piece, it's my second bong, my first one was made with one of these aluminum coke bottles and the same pen/pen tip but it was so small it was more of a bubbler than a bong.
The POM bottle is a real classy choice. If you are making something to keep around always make it a cool bottle. I recommend hot glue if you have access to it for the seal around the downstem and the bottle. It is the best. Don't worry about it getting hot, it won't if you just use it there. For a bowl, a funnel for filling a flask works great. They are a bit big, but pack it shallow and go green every time. They are inexpensive and I know a lot of my headshops carry flasks and flask funnels.
I will definitely check into the flask funnels. Maybe ill pick up a flask as well. Not a huge drinker, but a drink here and there is nice

What do you mean the bowl is a pen, and instead of a slide couldn't you just but a carb hole in there?
the bowl is a pen tip and the downstem is a pen. you push the bowl to the side slightly to clear the smoke out of the bong.
I no a pretty easy way to make a water bong slider. What i did was took a sharpie (regular sized) and a bic pen. I cut the sharpie in half and used that part for my downstem. (I poked a couple of holes near the bottom of the sharpie, so i wuld have a diffused downstem. But that's my own personal choice.) Then what I did after that was cut the bic pen in half. After I did that I took the sharpie and burned the end that I cut in half. Right after I burned the end I took the bic pen and I put it through the sharpie from the part I just had burned. Once I put it there I carefullly pinched the hot sharpie end onto the bic so it wuld b a little more tight. The i took the bic out and i let it cool down. The last thing I did after that was put the sharpie through the hole that I had cut out in the water bottle. I angled it then hot glued it so it was airtight. Then I put a socket piece on the end of my bic for the bowl and was ready 2 toke it up. Now I'm trying 2 figure out how 2 make a perc.
martini slides arent expensive. and work better than any pen combo. i got two pom bongs, use em for portability and when drunk people are around
oh perc bongs can be very easily constructed in my 12 step system for getting high!, dome percs that is. 1. take 2x 1 or if your a man you will use 2 liter pop bottles and cut the very bottom off right where it starts to bend under. (this along with another 1 or 2 liter bottle that hasnt been cut up are set aside for later as the body of the bong.) 2. first take 2x standard orange prescription botttles (approx. 2"Hx1"D) and cut/melt a hole in the center of both lids just large enough to fit a bic pen tube. 3. take the tube and cut it in half so you have two tubes. 4. drill 4-6 small (prolly 1/16" or smaller), evenly dispersed, holes around the bottle roughly 1/4"-1/2" down from the bottom of the lid. 5. insert tubes in bottles (tube should rest about a 1/2"-3/4" from the bottom of the bottle and should stick out the top about an inch) 6. cut/melt a hole, again sized to fit the pen tube, on two pop bottle lids 7. slide the pop bottle lids onto the pen tubes so that they can be screwed back onto the pop bottle. 8. now use a HIGH TEMP glue gun and seal up the holes with tubes still inserted in the lids. 9. bring out the 3 pop bottles and screw the percs onto the uncut bottle and one of the cut ones. 10. carefully stack the pop bottles so that they form an airtight seal (when you suck on them it should create a vaccum and collapse the bottles). 11. either hot glue or duct tape the bottles together making sure that you retain the airtight seal. then jsut rig up a normal downstem/bowl and lastly: 12. fill that beast, pack it and have a nice trip!! oh and fyi you can make as many percs as you want its all up to you. just remember more percs =more drag. tho this can be countered by drilling larger holes in the script bottles which alows for better airflow hope this helps peace, love and cannabis!
