Sup guys, This is my first post to Grasscity in a long, long time and I thought some people would want to take a look at what I've been crafting in my down time. Just few things, I made this simply because I love making pieces. No homemade piece can trump something like a ROOR or anything professionally crafted, but I just enjoy making something then smoking out of it. I make these and only smoke out of them a few times, then usually trash them and make something new. Here's one of my more recent creations Basically, this piece is a bottle inside another bottle, along with some tricky gluing and cutting. I'm thinking about typing up a how-to on this if enough people want to build one for themselves. Oh and by the way, at the time of the pictures and video I hadn't put a bowl on yet, but it's on now. Exactly. I cut out the bottom and slid it over the poland springs bottle, then hot glued it to the bottom. At the bottom of the gatorade bottle i punched a bunch of holes, which act like a perc and gives my bong another chamber
unless i'm completely missing the mark, i don't think it's technically another chamber, but you just game me a good ass idea for the next time my friend wants to do another homemade
Yeah, maybe it isn't considered another chamber but it sure as hell hits like one . As a tip, if you're hot glueing anything i recommend after the glueing that you try to block the mouth piece and bowl and then attempt to blow air out of the piece. Listen for any escaping air, then run your finger around all the seals to test if it's watertight.
i'm all for homemades but i'm not sure if this is entirely safe. nothin against you man, but i just don't want people gettin hurt on shit thats supposed to be good for them just because the government won't let them use glass and NOT inhale toxic funes.
wait, what? i don't think there's anything wrong with it, the smoke tastes the same as anything else. There is a bowl on the piece, I just haven't added it during the pics.
just the fact that its metal and plastic. I'm not saying that weed is healthy, or that homemades are going to kill you after a few hits, just that, like the cliche, your body is a temple. i personally don't smoke out of homemades unless they are glass, but that's a personal choice. just be careful what you're puttin into your body, because you can't always see the effects right away.
dude theres so much potential from a homemade piece, a lot of the most amazing rips ive ever had came from some ingenious and well crafted homemeade devices. there's also a degree of pride when you make a really good piece. once upon a time my friend and i made a bong with a little clay pot as the chamber, a bamboo shoot as the slide, and a metal bowl from the hardware store. we got some connectors and ran a tube to a gas mask setup we had made for another bong, which was composed of a solo cup fitted over the filter of the mask (filter removed of course). we smoked out of it a couple times and then decided to eliminate the hose, and attached the gas mask apparatus directly to the chamber. that motherfucker ripped harder than anything i've ever hit before or since, on more than one occasion there was too much smoke in my lungs even to cough, i felt like my throat was closed. unfortunately i dont have pictures.... i would love to share it and maybe sometime ill be able to. god just thinking of that thing makes me jizz in my pants.
I completely agree, I have stopped using most of my piece because of the fact that most of my bowls were comprised of either aluminum cans, foil, or a socket wrench piece. For this piece, however, I actually just picked a pretty sweet glass stem that slides right down about halfway down the plastic pen tube. I would guess that by the time that the smoke hits the plastic that it's cool enough to not melt the plastic. -MC
Sleaves, you speak the truth my friend. I've been smoking for too long to be using things like aluminum cans and such to get high. I've got some nice glass pieces, which I use much more than my homemades. I do agree that there is a HUGE level of satisfaction when you make a killer piece that has your friends coughing up a lung
yeah man, i love my glass as well. although yesterday i was introduced to a heady pipe for the first time, i had heard of them but never used one. i guess theyre designed differently based on airflow (smokeflow) or whatever. its definitely a better way to smoke dank trees.

Dope, indeed. I wanna go home a take a pic of my new piece, it's a marble piece that's shaped like a skull. I'll post again when I make another thread with pics
