    Sup Grasscity,

Just wanted to show my homemade stuff. It’s always a shit ton of fun making your own piece and smoking out of it. It’s a great way to get high as fuck off of recycled items.

All I really used was a drill, some diamond drill bits (just ebay whatever you need), and sandpaper. I only have one diffused downstem, one grommet, and one bowl, and I believe they are 14 mm. The best part is that I can easily switch from piece to piece with these two parts.

Anyways, here are my pieces. Sorry that I cannot include milk shots for all of them, I use a hemp wick so it’s hard to do all that shit while also trying to smoke. If you need any tips on making them, just ask.

Here is my newest homemade mini bong:
“Storm Chaser” made from a $6 spiral vase from Ebay.

A cool thing about this vase is that the spiral can actually be filled with liquid, and I filled it with rubbing alcohol. This way, I can just put in the freezer and I have a nice ice coil (alcohol doesn’t freeze). I also put ice cubes inside the coil, so you know everything is icy cold. Smoke rises in a vortex shape, most likely caused by the coils. Had to go with Storm Chaser because we all love chasing THC tornadoes.

Next is “Headshot” made from a Crystal Skull Vodka bottle.

Saw this idea online and I had to make one myself. This is such an awesome party piece. Not only do you smoke out of a skull, but the cranium holds so much smoke that almost every Headshot novice coughs on their first time. It has become custom that whenever someone coughs, you aim at them and say “HEADSHOT!” in the good old fashioned Unreal Tournament voice.

Here is “The Shadow Panther” made from a cognac bottle.

I was chilling with a bunch of Russians and they left this cognac bottle. I knew it was classy since it was cognac, but when I saw the panther I knew I had to make a piece out of it. Had a sesh with my friends and we decided on The Shadow Panther.

This is my waterfall made out of an orange cream soda bottle.

This is a great personal smoking device. You get to “drink” smoke, and it gets you fucked up off very little weed. I highly advise making yourself one of these as I smoked out of a pipe for about a couple weeks straight, noticed my tolerance was going up, then packed a snap with this waterfall and got SOOO high. I heard waterfalls were like smoking a joint in one breath, and I believe that statement is true. What is even more baffling is that the smoke is incredibly smooth, yet there is no water filtration. You exhale and no smoke comes out. Again, highly recommended.

The last of my recycled glass: Coke bottle steamroller.

Living in Atlanta, it is standard to visit the World of Coke. You get a collectable coke bottle, and I drank it so I could make a steamroller. This is way better than my spoons and chillums. Cools the smoke perfectly for a dry piece, the weed taste is so nice, and big hits are manageable. Simple yet effective. Drilled to fit my 14 mm bowl, and the carb is on the bottom of the bottle.

And here is my bowl holder made out of ceramic clay.
I went to a pottery class one day. Instead of making cups/mugs/plates/typical shit that everyone else was doing, I decided to make a bowl holder. I’m tired of spilling my weed on the ground when I have to hold my bowl, so I made this. They had a seashell, and I molded its shape to be the “seat” part of the chair. I put four legs on it so it can be easily set on a flat surface. Great for packing bowls as dropped weed falls on the shell. Not the most aesthetically pleasing thing, but it serves its purpose and it was the first thing I have ever made with clay.

Well, hope you guys found this shit interesting.

I’m also thinking of going back to pottery class and making ceramic clay bubblers. What I would do is make the chamber with a hole on top. This way I could just drop my downstem in, and then put the bowl on top (this way, flame isn’t going directly into contact with the clay). I heard once you glaze the ceramic though, the glaze pretty much acts like glass. But I want to be safe and keep the burnt material on glass. I will let you guys know how well this goes whenever the time comes.

    Take it easy Grasscity.

EDITS: Fixed the photos. Added tornado video.

  3. No pics work :( Fix them!

  4. Aww man, sorry guys. I fixed it.

  5. May I get a guide on how to make the Coke bottle one? I've been trying to find a guide for a piece like that. All of them are beautiful btw. :3

  6. that coke one is really cool

  7. Nice getup u got there.

a downstem and slide are the best for homemades. Makes things alot easier.

  8. without doubt some of the nicest homemades i've seen..

I hate homemades.. but i gotta respect you for them man, very classy. :smoke:

  9. I LOVE your pieces man, quality homemades! But could you explain how the first spiral one works, I have NO idea whats going on in that picture... xD

  10. dude those are so sick skilllzzz

  11. You are god. Get of video of you hitting the Tornado one man, that one really interests me. Great fuckin job on them.

  12. If you do a mix of alcohol and water you could get it colder. Look up on google for "home made ice packs" and you can find the correct proportions of alcohol to water. I tried to make a special pack for my bong but gave up. Seems like the coil would be a pretty good implementation for it.

I’ll make a coke bottle steamroller guide tomorrow (or later today lol).

The spiral is only a glass coil filled with rubbing alcohol, and I also put ice cubes inside the coils so everything is icy cold. If you imagine the vase without the spiral, it would just be a tube like a regular bong.

I’ll also try and get a milk vid up for the spiral.

Wish I knew about the alcohol/water mixture earlier. It’s kind of a bitch filling that spiral.

    And...

Guide to making coke bottle steamroller:

    1. First make sure you have a diamond drill bit for your bowl of choice. Just get it from ebay or a department store or something. I used a ½ inch drill bit, and I use a 14 mm bowl/downstem w/ grommet. You could probably get away with 5/8 inch drill bit for 18mm, it really depends on what kind of downstem you are using.

Here are some ½ inch diamond drill bits from ebay:

    2. Since you are making a steamroller, you need a location for your bowl and your carb.

    3. When you have the right drill bit, take your coke bottle and run it under cold water in a sink. Drill your bowl and carb locations.

Here is a vid on how to cut glass:

    4. Sand that shit down with sandpaper. Don't wanna cut yourself. Wash thoroughly in water to get all the mini particles gone.

    5. Hit that shit!

  15. Thats so sick man! Great job!

  16. Good times man :hello: everything in that post was cool as Hell.

  17. All of these pieces are amazing! I am so impressed! I feel honored to have smoked out of the headshot :smoke: Keep up the good work!

  18. u should check out bong spirit vodka

  19. Holy shit dude, I'm really glad you posted this so that I can drool and see all of your pieces at once.

As soon as I am able I'm totally coming over to hit the storm chaser

  20. This is why homemade isn't necessarily inferior. Usually, it's kids making bongs out of plastic and tinfoil, but this is very creative recycling. As a virgin toker, I'm proud to have never started with plastic. My first homemade was out of a glass bottle (though it had a metal bowl and tubing downstem). These are very very nice pieces. I pick up any interesting glass I see for cheap at places like goodwill to make into homemade pieces. Once again, very nice, thanks for sharing.
