Brossidente, thanks for posting this. This reminds me of my childhood, spending lazy weekend afternoons or long summer days BongGuyver'ing wicked dirty pieces from on hand ingredients. I still have a penchant for buying drinks and things just to BongGuyver it later. My favorites were a pair of Mana Energy Drink bottles I made into a palm sized bong, slide and everything, and a bubbler with a carb. I always use a long, stainless 4mm socket with a steel screen. I wish I knew of a shop around my part of the world with a stem/cone rig like you use, that sounds fun. I started using a scientific looking glass slide for my BongGuyver'ing, and it is also worth looking into. Great job, and +rep.

I still have a lot of these in a box in the spare room. Haven't been used since I moved onto glass tho... The big blue bottle double perc went through a make over. Got trimmed down a bit, colour scheme was changed to yellow and red, a lean was put on it, and yeah was just overall better. Believe it or not tho, my bitch of an ex actually burnt it when leaving our house on her last day. Who the fuck take the time to burn a plastic bong out of spite? It was pathetically funny way more than upsetting.
awesome work man. what do you use for the downstems and the grommet? my first legit homemade has cork expoxied onto the side of the class. and the downstem is a brass pipe. works but i needed to make a converter to use a 14 mm bowl.

I'm sure I must have said multiple times, probably including in the original post, that the stems, cones and grommets all ceom from any tobacconist in Australia. Just619, this was in my first few months of smoking.

the down stem is glass. it was just too short to reach the water, so i hot glued the highlighter. by time it hits the plastic its already cooled down. plastic is only bad when its heated up enough to produce noxious fumes. the rest of the bong is pretty much filled with water so it keeps it cool.
