Hey guys, I am new to the site, LOVE it so far hahahaha. I just got done making myself a homemade percolator and can't wait to test it out. How does it look? I have a small air leak in the top perc, but only small air bubbles come up when I fill the chamber full so I think it will be alright because there is less pressure for the smoke to go through the straws and into the water than through that tiny hole. One problem I do have is the seals between the bottles. They leak. So I am just going to add some more silicon around the outside and that should do the trick. P.S. Any thoughts on cleaning it out and getting the silicon smell/taste out of it? I already know silicon is fine, but I want to make sure it is fairly safe to smoke out of
looks good! over time plastic bottles will break down. i would use evian or fuji water bottles (seriously, those brands use a higher quality plastic that is less likely to leech).
If you wanna know it's safe then get a small amount of schwag and milk it, before any gets to your mouth just stop inhaling and blow the smoke out from the downstem. Does that make sense?
Except for the fact that doing that would force all your water back out. Its fuckin hilarious when someone coughs into a bong. One of my buddies ex girlfriens did that once and it shot a jet of water out of the downstem. I almost die laughing.
No it wouldn't you don't blow hard. It's just like if you were smoking, the airflow is coming from the downstem. As long as you don't blow to save your life, it will act like if you were smoking.
but there's no way to make it go back up the down stem through the water... hence the water fountain that will occur if you did this
Put your mouth on the downstem and blow! Air will go through the bong as it would if you were sucking from the top. It will carry the smoke out the way it came. I really don't see how that will be a problem.
Nah Travis is right, that's what i do when my girl leaves a little smoke in my bong after a hit. (she can't always clear it cause she got bitch lungs haha)
