My home made chapstick pipe- is it safe?

You will definitely be inhaling plastic fumes. Very very bad idea.

Besides that the tube of chapstick would likely get too hot as well, the screens in headphones were never intended to withstand that much heat.

Headphone screens are usually made of cheap metals, cut with plastics, and after a few 'uses' you'll notice it's deteriorated and started losing chunks... these lost particles, and fragmented bits of metal and plastic end up lodged in your lungs, leaving your body to try and sort it out.

Permanent damage, scarring, and reduced lung function aside, you can end up with acute, or chronic heavy metal sickness, which makes you very, very ill.

 

I sure as fuck wouldn't smoke from it, go buy some papers for like a buck..

Just don't use it a lot. I've seen a lot of people say not to smoke certain homemade devices because of the health issues. But if you only use them a couple times you should be just fine.

Tho~ I wouldn't light that up...Too small & not heat tolerant enough for me. I would think that the chapstick tube would begin softening under the bowl almost immediately after setting flame to it.

I have (in a pinch) used a socket that was about as long as a tube of chapstick. 1/4 inch drive I believe. Just pack the drive side and suck slowly ~ it worked that day!

if you have a metal pen tube you can put that socket on the end of it and make a slider for a bong thats what i used before i got my bong just make sure the pen tube is metal not plastic

I made a one hitter out of a highlighter cap and a metal bowl. It was harsh from the metal bowl, but it wasnt burning any plastic fumes. You can taste it and could feel if the plastics getting hot. You got the idea.... But mine looked alot better

Edit: that screen might not be safe though. From headphones? Yeah i wouldnt want my smoke passing through that screen.

 

Well if you really need homemade, use a gray tube from a sharpie. They're too thick to get hot with medium use.

 

Everyone here is lying to you, that looks fine, use it often.

 

the onlytime i used plastic is when my bong broke in the middle of the night and all the headshops were closed i heated up the stem of the bowl and melted a perfect hole in a water bottle only use homade for a small amount of time

 

Use an apple. If you eat it after you get totally ripppped duuude. Jk but seriously that pipe dangerous, don't use it. Plastic and shit.
